C15 Chapter fifteen

0The Parker and the Winterbottom families had always had a tense relationship in Rebel Life City.

Kole had dispatched the number one Alpha level student of the Outer Academy to find trouble for him now that he had "taken care" of Auston.

Kole might do it himself next time.

As a result, Peter resolved to find a way to get money, acquire some supplies, and make some pills to consume. Only in this fashion could he rely on the system's hundred percent experience to quickly achieve power similar to that of the Fierce Lions Military Ranking's genius!

After leaving the academy, Peter walked around the Ghost Blood City for some time before he went straight into a shop named Rare Pill Pavilion.

"Sir, thank you for visiting the Rare Pill Pavilion. What do you want to purchase?"

Peter entered the Rare Pill Pavilion and approached a window. He noticed a young girl standing up and smiling at him from behind the window.

"I'm not here to make a purchase."

With a shake of his head, Peter continued, "Alchemists are needed at your Rare Pill Pavilion. I've come to apply for a position as an alchemist."

The young girl was surprised when she heard Peter's words.

This individual had come to apply for an alchemist position, but he was still too young.

"Our Rare Pill Pavilion is actively looking for alchemists. Please wait a moment, sir. I'll get back to you as soon as possible."

Although the young girl was astonished, she did not look down on Peter. Instead, she dashed to the Rare Pill Pavilion's upper management room to notify them.

After a while, the young girl and a middle-aged male in his thirties came over.

"Kid, don't tell me you've come to apply for an alchemist's position?"

The middle-aged man's gaze traveled across Peter, and his demeanor changed abruptly to something less pleasant.

"That's correct. I've come to apply for a position as an alchemist. Is there a problem?"

"Rare Pill Pavilion is looking for someone who is at least a Grade One Pill Master. Do you have a tier 1 alchemical Pill Master Badge?"

The middle-aged man impatiently waved his hand and stated, "That is all there is to it. You haven't even reached adulthood. Please don't waste my time!"

"Uncle, I recommend that you don't look down on others. What makes you think I'm not a Grade One Alchemist?"

Peter couldn't help but scowl when he heard the middle-aged man's statements.

"Do I have a condescending attitude toward others?"

"Since you said you're a Grade One Pill Master, then show me your Pill Master Badge," the middle-aged man roared.

"I believe the Pill Master Badge you described is like the one you wear on your chest."

Peter mumbled something vaguely as he looked at the bronze emblem on the middle-aged man's chest, which was encrusted with two stars.

"That's correct. To be considered a true alchemist, one must pass the Alchemist Association's examination and acquire the Pill Master Badge."

With a sneer, the middle-aged man stated, "If you can bring the Pill Master Badge, kid... Not to mention becoming an alchemist of the Rare Pill Pavilion; I can even grant you the position of chief alchemist of the Rare Pill Pavilion!"

"This is hilarious, hahaha. Even though he doesn't have a Pill Master Badge, he aspires to work as an alchemist in the Rare Pill Pavilion. "

"What's the use of pretending? Why does he feel compelled to act as an alchemist? Is he under the impression that he can pretend to be an alchemist because he wants to?"

"Alchemist Wells is far too courteous. If it were up to me, I would have sacked this youngster long ago."

The middle-aged man's conversation with Peter inevitably drew the attention of the various customers in the shop. They couldn't stop themselves from sneering at Peter.

"I'm afraid I won't be able to show the Pill Master Badge."

Peter was indifferent to the ridicule he was receiving.

"Looking at the two stars on your badge, you should be a Grade Two Pill Master," he stated with a faint smile as he examined the middle-aged man's alchemy badge.

With a proud grin on his face, the middle-aged man remarked, "That's correct. I am an alchemist of rank two!"

"Does a Grade Two Pill Master really have that much power?"

Peter regarded him with scorn. "You're in your forties and have spent decades studying alchemy, but you're still a Grade Two Pill Master? You're downright useless."

Many individuals in the area could not believe their ears. They looked at Peter as if he were a complete moron.

There weren't many Grade Two pill masters in the entire Ghost Blood City. In addition, David Wells, who stood in front of them, was the Rare Pill Pavilion's chief alchemist. He was one of the best Grade Two Pill Master warriors, and even in the Ghost Blood City, he was well-known.

However, a little brat in the Ghost Blood City looked down on such a prominent alchemist!

"Did this brat eat the gall of a lion?"

Who gave him the power to speak to David Wells like this?

"What the fuck did you say, kid? What qualifications do you have to be arrogant in my presence when you don't even have a Pill Master Badge?"

Peter's remarks infuriated David Wells right away.

With a stern glance, he stared at Peter and stated, "I'll give you ten seconds to think about it. Get out of the Rare Pill Pavilion as soon as possible. If you don't, I guarantee you won't be able to stand what I'll do to you. Leave!"

"You're just a flop who's been cultivating for a long time and is still in grade two."

Peter's brow furrowed.

"Even if I don't have a badge, I'm still a better alchemist than you!"

"You're risking your life, kid!"

"Someone, get rid of this brat who is causing disturbances in the Rare Pill Pavilion!"

David Wells yelled fiercely, his eyes turning steely.

"Wait!"

An anxious voice sounded in everyone's ears just as David Wells' voice faded.

Everyone turned to see a rather chubby young man striding in slowly.

Peter couldn't help but be stunned when he saw the young man who walked in.

Why did this guy show up here?
