C19 Chapter nineteen

0Ewart was ecstatic at the prospect of Peter being the chief alchemist of the Rare Pill Pavilion in the future.

He gave a weak nod to the pale-faced David Wells and added,

"Alchemist Wells: In the future, Peter will be the chief alchemist of the Rare Pill Pavilion. Do you have any qualms about this?"

"Master Parker is a young man, but his alchemical abilities are far superior to mine. It is a great honor for the Rare Pill Pavilion to have him as their chief alchemist."

David gave a bitter smile.

He gazed at Peter, and his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "I didn't expect Master Parker to be a Grade Three alchemist of such high caliber. I must have been blind not to notice. I'm hoping Master Parker isn't offended."

David Wells finally bowed his pompous head at this point.

He was only an alchemist of grade two. This person in front of him was a third-tier high-grade alchemist, a whole rank above him.

Furthermore, he was inferior to him in terms of potential. That was practically the highest grade for an alchemist in the Ghost Blood City. He was concerned that if he offended Peter, he might be unable to continue living in Ghost Blood City with only one comment from Peter.

Peter couldn't be bothered with David Wells.

He said, "Ewart, I can become the Rare Pill Pavilion alchemist. But, as you are aware, I am a Fierce Lions Military Academy student, therefore..."

"I understand, Jeff."

"You don't have to stay at the Rare Pill Pavilion; just assume the position of Chief Alchemist, and I'll deliver the ingredients to the military base so you can make pills."

"The Rare Pill Pavilion will offer you 30% of the profits once the pills you make are sold."

With a smile on his face, Ewart stated.

Peter's talent and potential would allow him to become a well-known master alchemist.

It would be advantageous for the Rare Pill Pavilion even if Peter merely had a name in the Rare Pill Pavilion.

"I'm not interested in making money!"

With a shake of his head, Peter expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation. "I'd like 30% of the pills that I refine."

"No problem!"

Ewart was similarly nonchalant about Peter's suggestion.

"That's it then. I'm not sure what kind of pill the Rare Pill Pavilion wants me to make. Bring the ingredients with you and meet me in the Alpha-level Student Residence Area's 50th building."

When Peter left the Rare Pill Pavilion, it was already midday. He came to a halt in front of the Happy Go Lucky Restaurant, where he planned to eat his lunch.

"What a coincidence, Jeff! I wasn't expecting to run into you here!"

A sneer sounded from behind Peter as he was ready to enter the Happy Go Lucky Restaurant.

Peter was astounded.

He noticed two familiar individuals approaching the Happy Go Lucky Pavilion when he turned around.

John Parker and Thanh Parker? What brought them here?

Peter cocked his head slightly. "Why didn't you stay in the Parker family, John Parker? What brought you to Ghost Blood City?"

"Peter, heh... I'm afraid you still don't know. Master Wells, the main alchemist of the Rare Pill Pavilion, has decided to take me on as a disciple."

"Even though, you've enrolled at the Fierce Lions Military Academy. You're still an Omega-level student with no prospects."

"As for me, I'm sure it won't be long before I'm a well-known alchemist!"

With a frigid smile, John stared at Peter. At a glance, he had a proud expression on his face.

"Is that correct? I wouldn't have come here to brag if I were you. If you brag in front of me, I'm afraid you're in for a bad time!"

The corner of Peter's mouth slightly lifted.

"I can assure you that none of the alchemists in the Rare Pill Pavilion will take you as a disciple!"

"Haha... Who do you think you are, Jeff? You don't think the alchemists in the Rare Pill Pavilion will pay attention to you?"

With scorn, John sneered.

Peter had attacked at the most inopportune time, robbing John of his chance to attend the Fierce Lions Military Academy. Thanh Parker brought John to the Ghost Blood City for the sake of his grandson's future.

Thanh Parker eventually gave up on his former visage and paid the price for it. Finally, David Wells, the Rare Pill Pavilion's head alchemist, agreed to take John under his wing.

"Master Wells, a second-tier high-grade alchemist, will officially accept John as his disciple. For the Parker family, this is a happy event. Do you want to be there to witness it?"

Thanh Parker had a smug expression on his face as well.

John's status in the Parker family would rise if he could become Master Wells' disciple.

Peter had enrolled at the Fierce Lions Military Academy, but he would only be an Omega-level student with no future. What qualifications would Peter have in the future to compete with John for the position of Parker family patriarch?

"Sure."

Peter gave a straightforward response. He had no intention of leaving, even if Thanh Parker remained silent.

"I won't insult you if you don't offend me."

When the original soul was in the Parker family, John crippled him with a few punches, nearly denying him admission to the Fierce Lions Military Academy. How could Peter let go so lightly now that he had the opportunity to teach John a lesson?

Peter stood there with his arms folded across his chest, waiting for David Wells to arrive with Thanh and his grandson.

A middle-aged man dressed in an alchemist outfit slowly approached a few minutes later. It was David Wells, the opponent Peter had recently defeated.

"You've arrived, Master Wells."

Thanh Parker smiled as soon as he spotted him.

"Disciple John extends a warm welcome to the teacher!"

John rushed forward as well, bowing properly to David Wells.

He looked at Peter after he bowed and saw that he was still standing there with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Why are you still standing there, Jeff? Hurry up and bow to Master Wells!"

John glared at Peter and yelled at him.

"Jeff, you have no right to be so dismissive of Alchemist Wells. Why aren't you bowing to him to apologize?"

Thanh Parker also had an unfriendly grimace on his face as he looked at Peter.

The status of a tier-2 high-level alchemist was high. Even he had to treat David Wells with respect. It was almost as if Peter had permitted David to reject them now that he had treated him so horribly. Of course, he had to teach Peter a lesson.

Peter was apathetic to Thanh Parker and his grandson's enraged outbursts.

With a scornful grin on his face, he gazed at David Wells. "What are your thoughts, David Wells? They want me to apologize to you while on my knees."

David Wells had just walked over when he noticed Peter standing at the Happy Go Lucky Restaurant's entryway. For a brief moment, he was stunned.

He was ready to greet Peter when he heard Thanh Parker and his grandson address him.

David Wells' face grew uglier by the second.

However, John was ignorant of anything that was going on.

John wanted to die when he heard what Peter said.

"Jeff, you have the audacity to address the teacher by his first name. Kneel down quickly..."

Slap!

David Wells had already rushed in front of John before John could complete his statements. He slapped John with his hand lifted.

The unexpected smack from David Wells had surprised both John and Peter. Even Thanh Parker was taken aback.

Shouldn't the disrespectful Peter be the target of Master Wells' wrath?

What the hell was going on here?
