Extra 19: Change the World (33)

2"Are you okay?" - Kagome asked as she looked at Inuyasha.     2

"That should be me question" - replied Inuyasha as he shook his head.

"I can see that getting that sword gave you a new sense of humility" - Yura said with a small teasing smile.

"I'm just making sure that the person who helped me isn't hurt" - Inuyasha replied with a frown - "That aside, thank you for helping me, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have been able to get Tetsusaiga, and possibly Sesshomaru would have killed me when he saw he couldn't get the sword."

"Wow, I don't know what to say now that I've heard your apology" - Yura said as she tilted her head, surprised by the abrasive boy's honesty.

Inuyasha let out a roar of fury as he started yelling at the female Yokai, not noticing how someone was watching everything silently before disappearing from the place.

"That sword is much more interesting than the Shikon Pearl" - Kurama thought as he shook his head. He was being honest in his opinion because the sword was very similar to the weapons of the sage of the six paths.

Kurama was sunk in his thoughts when he heard a knock at the door - "What is it?"

"My lord, there is someone who wants to talk to you" - said a Tanuki as he poked his head through his master's door.

"Someone wants to see me?" - Kurama asked in surprise before frowning because that made no sense - "Who?"

"They are the wolves of the northern mountain" - answered the Tanuki seriously - "They are the clan that inhabit that place and come down to hunt."

"I see" - nodded Kurama before getting to thinking - "Ok, I'll go right away, please let Kikyo know."

"Right away, my lord" - replied the Tanuki before running out of the place to feel the instructions of his protective guardian.

Kurama was silent for a few seconds before thinking things over more carefully, after all, he didn't expect to come in contact with a clan so soon, though this was a good opportunity to be able to expand his village.

Thinking about this, Kurama got up from his seat and walked towards the entrance of the village, thinking about how his first interaction with this Yokai clan would be.

"Grandfather, are you sure this is a good idea?" - A beautiful girl with reddish brown hair, combed into a double ponytail, asked. She had beautiful green eyes and was wearing a set of armor along with a fur dress and coat.

"I could feel a huge spiritual pressure coming from this place, Ayame, one on the level of a Daiyokai" - an elderly wolf replied as they waited at the entrance.

The other clan members were looking at each other apprehensively, mostly because they were not expecting the words of the old sage of the wolf clan.

"If so, wouldn't we be in danger coming here?" - Ayame asked with a frown as she looked in the direction of the village that had appeared out of nowhere.

"No, the spiritual pressure did not seem to be surrounded by negative emotions, in fact, it seemed to be directly connected to nature" - replied the wolf sage as he shook his head - "That is why I have made the decision to come and speak directly to this Yokai"

"I understand" - Ayame said as she frowned even more because if she was honest, she didn't want to come here because it was dangerous for her. As a princess of the northern mountain wolf clan, as well as a beautiful woman, she was in danger of being "sold" if the negotiation took a good turn, and if that happened, then she wouldn't be able to marry her beloved Koga.

Oh, and speaking of him, she still had to go see him, so they could talk about their engagement, though there was something that bothered her, and that was that he hadn't shown up since he saved her in her childhood.

"Did he forget about me?" - Ayame thought as she shook her head at the thought.

The old wolf looked at his granddaughter with concern because he knew what was going through her head. He wouldn't deny that he was happy with the idea of Ayame entering into a relationship with Koga, though he knew that the boy from the other wolf clan had not "proposed marriage" to his granddaughter as she thought, but rather it was more of a help gotten by mere coincidence.

Ayame continued to sink into her thoughts when she heard someone approaching. She slowly looked in that direction, only to feel her breath stop as she saw the newcomer's appearance, and she wouldn't lie, he was the most handsome guy she had ever seen in her life, and she remembered Koga every day - "Uh..."

"Hello, my name is Kurama Uzumaki, and I am the owner of this small village, as well as the protector of this place" - Kurama said while looking at the old wolf because he could feel that time and wisdom in him - "It's a pleasure, although I would like to know the reason for your arrival."

Ayame blushed as she realized that she had acted like a confused child, though she quickly regained her composure upon hearing this stranger's voice.

"Hello, I am the great sage of the northern mountain wolf clan, it is a pleasure to be in your presence, Kurama-dono" - said the old wolf as he looked carefully at this stranger and felt a strange sense of familiarity - "If it is not too much trouble to ask, could you tell me what your race is?"

"I am a Kitsune" - Kurama answered calmly, after all, this information was not necessary to hide.

"Oh, I see, that explains why I felt you were so familiar" - nodded the old wolf as he looked more familiarly at this stranger.

Kurama just smiled as he gestured for the wolf clan members to follow him into the village.

The wolves looked at each other before waiting for the decision of the old sage, who quickly followed Kurama.

"This place is breathtaking, not only is the air pure, but it seems to be covered by a dense layer of spiritual energy that increases the strength of the Yokai who set foot in the village" - said the old wolf as he felt his body seem to rejuvenate a few years.

The other wolves could feel their strength recovering as they inhaled the dense energy that was in the air of the place while they felt the gaze of many small animals watching them apprehensively.

The group slowly advanced towards the largest residence of the place, possibly Kurama's, and saw how a strange human priestess was waiting at the entrance.

Ayame frowned slightly as she did not expect such a strong Yokai to have a human mistress, though after lightly sniffing the woman, she noticed that she did not have a predominant Kitsune scent, which showed that Kurama had not touched this woman, so she quickly attributed it to this priestess being a mere servant.

Kikyo frowned slightly when she felt the girl's gaze, though she quickly decided to ignore it and asked Kurama about the situation.

Ayame narrowed her eyes because such seemed that her first deduction was wrong, after all, no servant could talk this way with her master.

"They are guests" - Kurama replied calmly as he watched the priestess nod before retreating, after all, she had only come because she thought they would fight, and although her presence wasn't necessary if they took into account the power of the Kitsune Yokai, that didn't mean she wouldn't do anything if a fight broke out.

"Who is she?" - Ayame asked with a frown.

"She's a travel companion," Kurama replied calmly.

"Just that?" - Ayame asked as she looked closely at the handsome Kitsune Yokai.

"I don't think that's any of your business, beautiful young lady" - Kurama replied with slight surprise.

Ayame blushed, though she quickly regained her composure and apologized, after all, she didn't understand why she was acting so strangely with a man she had just met.

The old wolf looked at his granddaughter with slight surprise before formulating a little plan because he could feel the change inside her - "Tell me, Kurama-sama, what are you doing in this place so far away from everything?"

"I came to this place by mere coincidence during my journey" - Kurama answered while shaking his head - "And after analyzing the terrain a bit, I decided that it would be a good place to start with the preparations of my plan."

"Your plan?" - Repeated the old sage of the wolf clan.

"Yes, I plan to build a kingdom for not only the Yokai, but also for the Hanyo and anyone who wishes to set foot in this place, as long as of course they respect my rules" - answered Kurama with a huge smile.

"For the Hanyo?" - Ayame repeated with a frown.

"Exactly" - answered Kurama calmly and without arguing the reason for this strange motive.

Ayame was silent because she, like many Yokai, did not enjoy the existence of hybrids, though this was not because she truly hated them, but because it was a mentality ingrained in them.
