The Legend of the Kyubi

Sesshomaru didn't respond, he just narrowed his eyes before raising his right hand and sharpened his nails.     

Inuyasha could feel his pulse quicken before gritting his teeth as he felt his brother bury his claws into his eye and pull out a small black pearl.     

Kagome let out a sharp cry of terror and fear at the sight of the bloody scene, not remembering that she had seen far worse during her first encounter with Inuyasha, perhaps because Inuyasha was more human and familiar to her, than the centipede woman.     

Inuyasha continued without making a sound as blood ran from his eye while Sesshomaru looked curiously at the pearl he had pulled from his brother's eye - "Jaken..."     

"On command, Sesshomaru-sama!" - Jaken said as he took the pearl and set it down, only to place the tip of the staff on the pearl.     

Sesshomaru waited a few seconds and watched as the old man's head began to laugh.     

"We found it, Sesshomaru-sama! The entrance is about to open!" - Jaken exclaimed excitedly.     

"That's perfect" - Sesshomaru smiled slightly, though he quickly returned to his neutral expression. He slowly looked at his brother and grabbed him by the throat - "Well, now that you're of no use, I guess I'll just have to kill you, Inuyasha, maybe then you'll stop being a disgrace to our family."     

Inuyasha said nothing in response, he just looked neutrally at his brother.     

"Ho ~? I didn't expect you to still have the courage to look me in the eyes" - Sesshomaru said with disdain.     

"Sesshomaru-sama, the portal has opened" - said Jaken as he looked at his master.     

Sesshomaru frowned before throwing Inuyasha back to the ground, after that, he didn't hesitate, he quickly attacked Inuyasha with all his might, only to see Muonna jump in front of the hybrid and shield him from Sesshomaru's attack.     

Inuyasha's eyes widened in surprise at this as he watched the female Yokai raise her hand in his direction - "My.... little..."     

"Rubbish" - Sesshomaru muttered as he crushed Muonna's head.     

"Sesshomaru-sama, I know you wish to eliminate your family's disgrace once and for all, but we don't know how long the portal will be open" - Jaken said with concern - "Nor if there will be some sort of guardian protecting your father's treasure."     

Sesshomaru frowned before turning around and walking to the portal that had materialized in front of them. Without a second thought he entered along with his servant, but not before giving his brother a cold glare along with a warning that he had better stay out of his way.     

Inuyasha slowly walked towards the Muonna's destroyed corpse and let out a heavy sigh - "Why did you save me?"     

"Muonna is a Yokai that were created because of a mother's love, it is part of their nature to protect their children with their lives" - Myoga replied as he jumped over Inuyasha's shoulder.     

"Where were you?" - Inuyasha asked with a frown - "No, that's not important..."     

The hybrid slowly walked over to where Kagome and Shippo were and released them from their chains before looking towards the portal.     

"What will you do, young master?" - Myoga asked with concern.     

"Nothing, I don't care what this bastard does" - Inuyasha replied as he shook his head with his left eye closed.     

"You must not let Sesshomaru-sama get away with this!" - Myoga exclaimed in terror - "Inside your father's grave is the gift he left for you, young master!"     

Inuyasha was silent for a few seconds before asking him what it was about.     

"It's about the key to control your Yokai side" - Myoga answered with concern - "If you let Sesshomaru-sama get hold of that object, then you will be in enormous danger."     

"Control my Yokai side?" - Inuyasha repeated with a frown - "If what you say is true, then.... Why haven't I had any trouble all this time?"     

"Because that object has always been close to you thanks to the black pearl in your eye" - answered Myoga seriously - "That's why if you let Sesshomaru-sama get hold of the sword, then your life will be in danger and at the same time you will stop being yourself."     

Inuyasha gritted his teeth before nodding - "I understand, I guess I have no choice, besides..."     

The hybrid slowly looked at the Muonna's corpse and gritted his teeth.     

"I still don't forgive that bastard for using my mother's appearance, not to mention I have to avenge this woman" - Inuyasha muttered as he clenched his fists.     

Yes, Muonna deceived him and was part of his brother's plans, but at the end she actually died for him, and she didn't try to harm him during her investigation into his soul.     

"That's the attitude, young master!" - Myoga exclaimed excitedly - "Now, we don't have to waste time because if Sesshomaru-sama finds the sword, then it's all over!"     

"By the way, what's the name of that blasted sword and why is it so important?" - Inuyasha asked with a frown.     

"It's important because it's a sword created with one of the fangs of your father, Inuyasha-sama" - answered Myoga seriously - "As for its name... well, the sword is called..."

"At last I've found you... Tetsusaiga (Steel-Cleaving Fang)" - Sesshomaru said matter-of-factly as he saw the strange old sword on the pedestal in the center of his father's stomach.     

"You will finally fulfill your destiny, Sesshomaru-sama" - Jaken said with a huge smile - "Soon it will be the time when the dog clan will be on top of the world again, all thanks to your power and courage"     

Sesshomaru ignored his subordinate and grasped the hilt of the sword, only to feel a current run through his body. Slowly, he released the stay and looked down at his hand, which was slightly burned - ". . ."     

"Sesshomaru-sama?" - Jaken asked in surprise - "Are you alright?"     

"The sword has a spell on it..." - Sesshomaru said with a frown - "I can't take it off the pedestal because it seems to be conflicting with my Youki..."     

"Are you saying you can't use it, Sesshomaru-sama?" - Jaken asked in surprise - "Impossible, Tetsusaiga is your father's favorite weapon, there should be no reason why you can't wield it just like your father."     

Sesshomaru didn't answer, he just looked at the sword with slight confusion because his subordinate said something valid. His father was a pure Daiyokai and one of the strongest, so there was no logical reason why he would create a weapon that he supposedly couldn't use.     

"Sesshomaru!" - Inuyasha roared as he jumped in front of his older brother.     

"I see you have decided to have your grave next to our father, I guess it's the least I can do after killing you even though you are not worthy of having your final resting place next to him" - Sesshomaru replied as he paused because maybe he could use this.     

"Wait, Inuyasha-sama, look, Sesshomaru-sama couldn't get the sword off the pedestal!" - Myoga exclaimed as he watched as the ancient sword was still in its resting place.     

Sesshomaru frowned slightly because although true, this truth was annoying to him.     

"This is your chance, Inuyasha-sama, your father left you Tetsusaiga and this is the proof" - Myoga said excitedly.     

"Are you seriously saying that this filthy hybrid can do something that my master can't?" - Jaken said disdainfully - "I think age is making you senile, you old flea."     

"Just be quiet and observe the truth" - said Myoga as he snorted at the attempts to annoy him from Sesshomaru's subordinate.     

Inuyasha didn't hesitate, he quickly jumped to Tetsusaiga's side and tried to lift her, and to everyone's surprise, the sword started to come out of the pedestal.     

"Impossible!" - Jaken exclaimed in surprise as Sesshomaru frowned.     

"I told you so!" - Myoga exclaimed, though his expression froze when he saw how Inuyasha seemed to be frowning - "Young master?"     

"Old Myoga... the sword won't move anymore..." - Inuyasha said, completely freezing those present.     

"Pff! Ha ha ha ha!" - Jaken couldn't hold back his laughter when he heard this as Myoga and Inuyasha blushed in embarrassment.     

"Wasn't I supposed to be the master of this sword!" - Inuyasha exclaimed angrily as he squeezed his subordinate.     

"Ok, enough of the jokes" - said Sesshomaru with a clear fury because this idiot had wasted his time - "I think it's time for you to die..."     

"You don't have to be frustrated because I managed to move the sword" - said Inuyasha with disdain, only to retreat at great speed when he saw how his brother appeared in front of him and gave him a quick swipe that hit the ground, corroding it quickly.     

"What was that!" - Shippo exclaimed in terror.     

"Sesshomaru-sama is Yokai who controls poison, he possesses a toxin so powerful that it can corrode even metal" - answered Myoga seriously.     

"Wait, how did you get here so fast when you were standing next to Inuyasha until just a few seconds?" - Kagome asked as she looked at the flea.
