Extra 19: Change the World (24)

2"Hey, where is that human woman?" - Hiten asked as he looked around after calming down.      2

"Don't change the subject!" - Maten roared as he narrowed his eyes.

"I'm serious, you idiot" - growled Hiten as he frowned - "Look around, and you'll realize that that human woman disappeared."

Maten was silent for a few seconds before letting out a furious snarl - "It's all your fault!"

"You blame me?!" - Hiten exclaimed in fury as he was beginning to lose patience with his younger brother. He had done his best to indulge him ever since their parents died, but this idiot had been jealous of his looks.

"Who else am I going to blame when you were the one who distracted me!" - Maten exclaimed as he began to concentrate a huge amount of electrical energy in his mouth.

"Ok, I've had enough" - Hiten said as he turned around - "If you're going to act like a spoiled child, I'm not going to talk to you anymore, you can do whatever shit you want, but don't come crying to me when everything you do backfires on you!"

"ROAR!" - Maten let out a roar of fury as he turned and walked towards the exit, after all, he had a runaway wife to find.

Hiten gritted his teeth before letting out a sigh and looking over to where his brother was, after all, no matter what things he said, he was still one of the few people he cared about - "Shit, I better go after him and make sure nothing bad happens."

* * * * *

"This is a good place" - Kurama said as he shook his head.

"Hmm, the air is pure, and the spiritual concentration is perfect, it's a good place to raise a shrine" - Kikyo replied as she frowned seeing that she was acting more and more different from the person in her memories, although if she was honest, she didn't mind this change. Since she had been "reborn", she had begun to regain everything she had lost during her first life.

"This will be the place where I will build the capital of the kingdom I had in mind" - Kurama replied calmly as he snapped his fingers.

Kikyo watched silently as the trees seemed to begin to merge together as they left enough room to build without much trouble. The priestess was about to say something, when she felt a few small darker presences approaching her location.

"Relax, they don't come with bad intentions, they're just surprised that I changed their homes" - Kurama said as the two travelers looked in the direction where all the presences were - "Besides, they're cute, don't you think so too?"

Kikyo raised an eyebrow as she saw a number of different animals, and by the gleam in their eyes it was obvious that they were animals that understood what they were saying - "The spiritual presence of this place, made the animals gain consciousness and become Yokai..."

The animals looked at the priestess in fear, though they slowly walked to the silver-haired man because they could sense that he would not harm them.

Kurama smiled slightly as he stroked the fur of the animals, who quickly began to make sounds of pleasure.

"I'm sorry for scaring you" - Kurama said as he looked around - "But I'm going to use this place to create a city, one that anyone can enter no matter what race they are, that includes you, that's why I want you to be the first inhabitants of this new place."

Kurama stretched out his hands and released his chakra that was mixed with the nature energy of this dimension, which was much calmer than that of his home dimension.

The animals looked at each other before looking back at the silver haired man.

"We will follow you, master..." - Said a slightly chubby raccoon dog, only to be surprised to find that he could talk.

"Old Tanuki, you can talk!" - exclaimed a snake.

"You too, earthworm!" - Tanuki exclaimed as the animals began to look at each other, surprised as they talked to each other. When they were animals, they could communicate with each other, although it was a bit complicated to do so with other species, but now that they could communicate directly, everything would be much easier.

"Damn monkey, I'm going to beat you up for stealing my food!" - Squirrel exclaimed.

"I thought you gave me permission" - replied the monkey with an innocent look.

"Permission, my acorns!" - roared the squirrel as he jumped on the monkey and punched him in the face.

"I feel like things will be a lot weirder now that they can talk" - sighed Kikyo as she shook her head.

"That's what spices up life" - replied Kurama as he shook his head and started creating houses with his Mokuton.

Kikyo was surprised to see this, more so when she noticed how her companion seemed to be modifying the houses to make them different.

The animals walked towards the houses with curiosity, although if they were honest, they were not very encouraged with the idea of living in these "human" houses. Kurama was aware of this, so he quickly created trees different from the normal ones for the animals to live with.

"Why do they feel so different?" - Tanuki asked as he cocked his head to the side as he walked over to a tree and noticed a huge hole at the base. Not only was the tree much larger than the others in the forest, it was darker and seemed to have the same energy as its master.

"It's because it grew with my power, now, I want you to choose which tree you will use to live, and don't worry, these will bear fruit every day" - Kurama answered calmly.

The animals celebrated with this, because if the Daiyokai's words were true, then they would no longer have to fight for food, even in winter.

"Was this what you had been thinking about during our journey?" - Kikyo asked with mild curiosity.

"In part, yes," Kurama nodded as he looked at the foundations of what would be the city of freedom, the place where everyone could set foot without fear of their race causing them to be ostracized.

"I think it's a fantastic goal, more so seeing your level of power, although I would like to know the reason why you came to this idea" - Kikyo said normally.

"It's simple, it's for the sake of my family" - Kurama answered while shaking his head - "I'm not a noble person, in fact, I couldn't care less about the world, although that doesn't mean I ignore everything that happens in front of my eyes, that's why I decided to create a safe and friendly place for my family, a place where we can live without fear together with people who have gone through the same as us, like for example the Hanyo's"

"I understand what you're trying to say, although I'm still a little confused about something you said" - Kikyo said while raising an eyebrow - "Family?"

"Right, I'm still not explaining my origin to you" - mused Kurama as he gestured for the priestess to follow him - "The truth is that I come from a place far away, one that you wouldn't believe me"

"After seeing everything you've done, I think I can believe anything" - Kikyo replied stoically, though she wouldn't lie, she was curious to know what this strange man was talking about.

"Well, I'll be blunt, I'm not from this world" - Kurama said honestly.

"Is that some kind of narcissism?" - Kikyo asked as she raised an eyebrow.

"No, honestly I come from another world" - replied Kurama while shrugging his shoulders - "One very different from this one, one where Yokai don't exist."

"That doesn't make sense, you are a Yokai, you even possess Youki" - replied Kikyo who was a bit annoyed by the blatant lies this man was telling.

"In my world, there are creatures called Bijuu, each of them possessing from one to nine tails" - replied Kurama as he looked at the sky - "The Ten Tails being the creature that originated the other Bijuu, though that's a story for another time..."

Kikyo raised an eyebrow as she could sense that this man wasn't lying

"Anyway, let's just say that things ended up getting out of control and I ended up merging with one of the Bijuu, shaping the person I am now" - Kurama continued as he created a chair and sat down - "There are many more details about how a Kyubi ended up becoming a Jubi, though they are not relevant to my story"

"Your family is in the other world, right?" - Kikyo asked as she raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, and although I cannot return to my old home yet, I can create a connection to that place for one of my wives to bring the others to this place" - Kurama replied as he closed his eyes.

"Now I have another question I would like you to answer" - said Kikyo as she looked at the white haired man who was getting sincere.

"Shoot" - said Kurama as he opened his eyes and looked closely at the priestess.

"Why do you want to bring your family into this world?" - Kikyo asked as she frowned.

"That's an excellent question" - smiled Kurama.
