The Legend of the Kyubi

2"That doesn't make sense" - Kikyo said as she frowned - "No matter how much I think about it, I'm still just as I remember."      2

"It's because your body still doesn't adapt to the soul inside you" - Kurama replied calmly as he paused and looked at the priestess with an almost imperceptible smile - "Tell me, what's the first thing that comes to your mind if I mention the name Kimi?"     

"My mother" - Kikyo answered almost immediately, only to widen her eyes, surprised with her words - "Wait, she's not my mother, no, yes she is, ugh..."     

The priestess quickly fell to the ground and grabbed her head in order to get rid of that nagging headache.     

"Tell me, what's the first thing that comes to your mind with the name Sota?" - Kurama asked calmly.     

"My younger brother..." - Kikyo replied with a much bigger headache - "No, I don't have a younger brother, only a younger sister named Kaede, but Sota is my younger brother..."     

Kikyo could feel how her head was about to explode from the pain, though she quickly began to feel everything returning to normal after a strange current passed through her entire body. She slowly opened her eyes and noticed how Kurama had his hand on her forehead, though this confused her even more.     

"As I said, your body is still adapting to the soul inside you" - Kurama replied as he shook his head - "You could say that right now you are not Kikyo, neither are you Kagome, you are a different woman who has inside her the experiences of the two girls."     

Kikyo frowned when she heard this because she didn't like how she felt - "Are you saying I won't be myself again?"     

"No, you haven't changed, you have been the same since you were reborn, although this made you stop being the old Kikyo" - Kurama answered as he tried to explain himself - "Your body is that of Kikyo, but your soul is not that of the priestess, your mind is a perfect mix between the experiences of the original Kikyo, together with the knowledge, emotions and desires of Kagome, your reincarnation, that makes you a different entity from the two girls that created you"     

Kikyo was silent as she felt her whole world come crashing down, after all, Kurama was telling her that she wasn't the person she thought she was.     

"Anyway, this trip can serve as a way for you to get to know yourself" Kurama said as he continued to walk in silence.     

Kikyo was silent before following him silently, after all, her companion's words had touched her to the bottom of her heart.     

"Who am I?" - Kikyo asked herself before walking beside Kurama.

"How did I end up like this?" - Kagome muttered with a dark expression on her face.     

The reason?     

Well, she happily ran to the place she saw flashes similar to the Shikon Pearl, only to discover the two demons that had killed Shippo's father, the thunder brothers. They were one who appeared to be a handsome man, while the other was someone who honestly had not been blessed by genetics.     

When she saw that they were enemies, Kagome tried to escape, only to be captured by the less graceful one, who was quickly smitten by her looks and decided to make her his new wife.     

The more handsome brother could only shake his head when he heard this as he muttered something about how this was the fifth woman in the last five days.     

Kagome's face paled when she heard this, but there wasn't much she could do in this situation, mostly because she didn't have the physical strength to oppose the Yokai, not to mention that she had left her bow along with her other things.     

"This wasn't my best idea," Kagome muttered as she sighed regretfully.     

"Did you say something, my beautiful bride-to-be?" - Manten asked as he looked at Kagome.     

"No..." - Kagome replied with a frown.     

Manten narrowed his eyes because again he could feel how this girl didn't seem happy with the idea of marrying him. This infuriated him because all the girls went to his older brother, who had inherited everything good from his father, while he had inherited his mother's looks. Manten loved his parents, although at the same time he always cursed that his father married and had children with a woman like his mother, after all, if it wasn't for her, he would be just as handsome as his older brother and in the process would have no trouble getting girls.     

The younger brother was always jealous of how easy it was for his older brother to get all the pretty girls, while he had to keep the leftovers or the "sacrifices" in order to appease him. Just thinking about it, made a huge murderous impulse invade his insides because he hated that people looked at him as a monster while praising Hiten's looks.     

Kagome stepped back a bit she could see how countless lightning bolts started to come out of the strange looking Yokai's body.     

"Maten, control your emotions, or you will kill your new wife" - Hiten said as he came flying to his younger brother - "Seriously, if you keep this up, the world will end with no women."     

Maten gritted his teeth in fury when he heard this as he felt something inside him snap - "And what do you know about my problems!"     

"Are you kidding me? I'm the person who knows you the most since our father's death, I'm the one who has been by your side all these years" - Hiten replied with a frown.     

"And you haven't noticed the difference between the looks we both get when we show up!" - Maten roared angrily as he narrowed his eyes - "While all the women look at you with dreamy eyes, I'm looked at like a trash, a monster who doesn't deserve to have been born! That's why I hate mom and dad, I shouldn't have been born looking like this!"     

"Are you even listening to what you're saying, Maten!" - Hiten exclaimed as he narrowed his eyes - "I'm not going to let you disrespect our parents after all they did for us!"     

The two brothers began to argue as Kagome took the opportunity to be able to escape.

"Seriously, this girl is an idiot" - Yura muttered as she walked towards the lightning siblings' home.     

"I'm sorry I didn't warn you that those two were around..." - Shippo muttered regretfully as he felt that the blame for Kagome's kidnapping, rested on his small shoulders.     

"You don't have to apologize, the blame lies on that idiot who decided to move forward alone and without thinking about the consequences" - replied Yura while petting the little Kitsune - "Maybe with this, she'll learn to think before acting."     

"Ok" - nodded Shippo as the two continued walking towards the Yokai siblings' home, not noticing how Inuyasha was silently following them.     

"What do you think happened to Kagome?" - Shippo asked with a frown.     

"Relax, she'll be fine, you may not think so, but that girl has very good luck" - Yura replied as the two continued to move forward until they heard the sound of someone approaching.     

Yura quickly stood on guard as she made her hair to circle the area to prevent them from being ambushed, though her expression changed when she felt a familiar aura from the person coming in their direction - "Kagome?"     

"Yura-san! Shippo-chan!" - Kagome exclaimed with tears in her eyes - "I was so scared!"     

Yura quickly pulled back her hair and looked at the girl from the future with a confused expression because she didn't expect that she managed to escape so soon - "How did you pull it off?"     

"The brothers started arguing with each other over family problems and I took the opportunity to be able to escape, the problem is that when I did, I discovered that they had shards of the pearl" - Kagome replied with a frown - "And these are the first ones we've found, so I don't think we can let them pass, the problem is that they are strong, I can feel it!"     

"Compared to me?" - Yura asked as she raised an eyebrow.     

"I'm not sure, though I think you could beat them if you go one vs. one" Kagome replied with a frown.     

"I think you're underestimating me more than you should, Kagome" - Yura said as she shook her head - "I've been doing the routine Kurama-sama gave me for weeks now and my power level is getting dangerously close to the level of a Daiyokai thanks to the strange energy my lord bestowed upon me."     

"You say you can defeat them?" - Kagome asked as she raised an eyebrow.     

"It's possible, although I'm going to do it my way, I'm going to set a trap, so I can separate them and then defeat them one by one as you say" - Yura replied calmly - "It's possible that this is unnecessary, but it's better to be safe than sorry, isn't it?"
