The Legend of the Kyubi

Cap 281: Yin y Yang

Cap 281: Yin y Yang

1Kurama quickly reappeared on Mount Myoboku after separating from Konan, only to notice how Fukasaku and Shima were waiting for him.      1

"I guess whatever had called me, it informed you that I would be coming," Kurama said seriously.

"Exactly" - replied Shima as she looked in another direction because she could feel the coldness in the young redhead's eyes.

"Don't be angry with my wife, it was my decision not to tell you about this because we wanted you to spend more time with your family," responded Fukasaku seriously.

". . ." - Kurama was silent for a few seconds before he let out a sigh - "Ok, let's get this over with quickly, I want you to tell me everything you know about this"

The two old toads looked at each other before nodding and telling him all the information they had.

Kurama quickly arrived at the place where he had previously trained, only to notice that in the center of the place was a statue of him.

"You took longer than I thought... I guess you're still a hypocrite who doesn't accept what you want..." - said a second voice in his head as he approached to touch the statue.

Kurama frowned as he saw everything go blank as at the moment he had been transported to his mental space, only to notice how everything was dark.

"Strange, this is not my mental space..." - thought Kurama as he looked around.

"Exactly, this is not yours, but mine," replied the second voice as torches began to flare as the redheaded man walked towards the source of the voice.

"The developers of Chrono Trigger are going to sue us for using their scene..." - said Kurama when he noticed how he had arrived at a kind of room where everything was illuminated by the light of countless torches.

"Oh? Do you remember anything as ephemeral as a moment in a game?" - asked the second voice as a throne appeared in the middle of the room.

". . ." - Kurama frowned because those words had been said only by instinct. He quickly shook his head and looked at the origin of the voice, only to see it look the same with the only difference being strange marks on his arms and torso, as well as a golden and red eye as opposed to his red and sky blue eyes.

"Oh, what a pity, you don't know how much you miss out by not remembering such things," replied the second Kurama as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Who are you..." - said Kurama neutrally.

"I told you, I am you, I could even tell you that I am the original," replied the second Kurama as he shrugged. "I am all the memories and experiences that you left behind with your reincarnation, at least the ones that were not erased. Sorry about that, as I was saying, I am all your few experiences that changed over time in this world, as well as the dark emotions you have experienced with Kurama".

". . ." - Kurama narrowed his eyes because he did not feel any evil in the person in front of him.

"Evil and darkness are two very different things, my other self" - answered the second Kurama - "One seeks only the pain of others while the other is one of the origins of everything, one of the most important parts of creation, an element that is impartial".

"Although that does not explain how you managed to resist the corruption of Kurama's negative emotions" - answered the original Kurama seriously.

"That is because I did not need to resist anything, for some strange reason all that hate was being purified, leaving only the essence of everything" - answered the second Kurama with boredom - "Ironically, the moment we parted, you were the one who gradually corrupted by absorbing all the hate of your victims..."

Kurama remained silent because he had finally found the reason for the problem that was afflicting him so much.

"My other self, my silly other self... it was thanks to your haste that you caused this situation" - said the second Kurama while he shook his head - "By quickly finishing your Senjutsu training, you unconsciously rejected everything that was holding you back, ironically in the process you rejected your Yin part, that is, you rejected me, your negative emotions, your memories that are a constant reminder of what you lost, and finally the dark feelings of the original Kurama that had slightly corrupted you".

". . ." - Kurama opened his eyes in surprise because he now understood some things.

"You can never finish your Senjutsu training because you can never balance Yin and Yang" - answered the second Kurama, now known as Yin.

"Is that why you forced me into Konan's subconscious?" - asked Kurama as he looked at his other self - "To understand the importance of a complete self?"

"That was part of the reason, the other was because I had felt everything about her and I knew that one way or another you would end up in bed" - answered Yin while shrugging his shoulders - "And that was the fastest way to get her to help us"

". . ." - Kurama Yang frowned when he heard this because it was not something he would do.

"Oh, come on, don't be a hypocrite," Yin said with a scowl, "I may be your 'dark' part, so don't try to lie or blame me. I only did what was best for us, what you wanted to do, but you didn't do it out of your false sense of morality.

"It is not false..." - said Kurama Yang with a frown.

"Believe me, it is false," replied Kurama Yin with disdain. "Helping people just because it is right and not because you want to, is just hypocrisy. You just want to feel good about yourself while others praise you for your actions, that's not good, my other self"

Kurama was silent when he heard this.

"Do you want me to continue? I ask you why I have so many things to say" - said Kurama Yin with disdain - "We'd better leave this shit for another time, now tell me, what do you think about becoming one again and finally completing your training?"

"That it will be a pain in the ass" - answered Kurama Yang with a scowl.

"It's better than being a damn hypocrite, not to mention that we really need to become one again and you know it, after all, I'm half your power," replied Kurama Yin as he shrugged. "You can think of it as when the old Kurama, the Kyubi, was divided into its Yin and Yang parts because baby Naruto could not contain the power of the full Bijuu. Without the perfect balance between Yin and Yang, your body could not withstand all the pressure of our combined power, this is because now your body is physical, not chakra like a true Bijuu"

". . ." - Kurama breathed a sigh before nodding - "Okay, you win, even though I don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about.

"You will know when we are one, with our merger, you will recover some interesting memories" - answered Kurama Yin as he shrugged his shoulders - "Even if you don't expect much from the events that will happen in the future because even I don't know them"

Kurama Yang shook his head when he heard this because he honestly did not expect his other self to have those answers.

"Anyway, since we've made it clear about my background, why I'm here and what I want, it's best that we continue before things get out of hand," Kurama Yin said with a scowl. "I've also had a bad feeling about Akatsuki's actions over the past few months"

". . ." - Kurama Yang took a last breath before extending his fist in the direction of his other self, who did the same actions. It was as if the two were two reflected images.

"Well, this will take a while, maybe a day or two, so I recommend that you have the mentality that something can happen during this time" - said Kurama Yin seriously before the whole place started to glow - "I guess it's time for us to start, goodbye, boring life, hello, my new self"

* * * * *

". . ." - Nagato was only silent when he saw Konan's new attitude as nostalgia began to invade his eyes. He could swear he was seeing his old friend, the same one he hadn't seen since the loss of his best friend Yahiko.

"I have already made contact with Uzumaki Kurama," Konan said as she shook her head.

". . ." - Nagato took the scroll carefully, only to notice how normal it was - "I see.... What did he say to you?"

"That he would help us," answered Konan seriously - "It seems that compared to Zetsu and Uchiha Obito, we can still be saved..."

". . ." - Nagato closed his eyes when he heard this as he sighed with grief - "You know, there are times when I feel that fate is a fascinating thing... Who would think that anyone would think that I could be saved despite all that I have done?"

Konan said nothing, she just closed her eyes as she let out a sigh.
