1Two days had passed since Obito had made his intentions clear to Konan, and she was now looking out the window as the rain continued to run as if the sky was falling apart.      1

"Why do you have such a melancholic face?" - asked a neutral voice that clearly showed that he wasn't interested in anything.     

"It's none of your business, in fact, I'm sure you don't care in the least," said Konan neutrally as he looked in the direction of the voice's origin - "Menma..."     

"True, I don't care in the least" - said Menma while he snorted with disdain - "But I suppose it has to do with the fact that Obito is taking control now that your friend is nothing but an empty shell"     

Konan frowned, but said nothing to refute his words.     

"If I am honest with you, I am not at all surprised by the situation that is unfolding," said Menma as he walked to one side of the girl. "After all, Obito was always in charge, it is only recently that you have realized it... Congratulations"     

"You can save the sarcasm for another time," Konan said irritably. She really didn't want to put up with her teammates anymore - "Tell me what you want, because I'm feeling that you just came to gloat over my misfortune".     

"Oh, as much as I enjoy seeing that expression of yours of absolute suffering, that's not why I came," said Menma with neutrality as he shook his head.     

"Speak," replied Konan as she looked closely at the boy.

"I know, I wasn't planning to sugarcoat it" - said Konan with disdain - "As a matter of fact, stop saying the obvious, it's no use in this situation"     

"Well, you win," said Menma as he rolled his eyes. "The deal is simple, I help you and you help me"     

". . ." - Konan frowned when she heard this because she had nothing she could do to help him right now - "Tell me what you want"     

"Simple... I want stability for my mother" - said Menma with neutrality - "Right now, she is my only weakness, and unfortunately for me, they have it, so there is nothing left for me to do but follow their orders"     

". . ." - Konan was silent as she nodded because this was something that everyone knew, the importance that Menma gave to Midori - "I understand..."

Konan gave him an annoyed look, because as painful as it was, that was the truth.

"I hope so..." - replied Konan as she nodded, not noticing how a shadow had observed everything.     

"How cute..." - said Zetsu as he laughed in his thoughts - "They think they can get out of my control... poor fools. I guess I'm going to give them a chance to do something before I destroy their hopes with a hard blow of reality..."

"Don't you have a bad feeling, Yugi-nya?" - Matatabi asked as she looked at her 'jailer'.     

"Yes... I feel that things are about to get worse" - answered Yugito as she felt a chill running down her back - "The same thing happened to me when we left Kumo to meet with Kurama... and look how things ended up".     

"That's called animal instinct, Yugi-nya," Matatabi said as she opened her eyes. "It's a skill you've acquired through my influence, and it's warning you of danger"

". . ." - Yugito was silent again before letting out a sigh - "Ok, we won't tell him... although we'd better train preventing things from getting out of control"     

"Sounds like a plan, nya" - said Matatabi - "I think it's time for you to open the Seal so that we can communicate"     

"Ok, but first, let's go to the [Hyperbolic Time Chamber]" - said Yugito seriously - "We can still use it for one more year"

"Is something wrong, Kuro-chan?" - asked Kushina as she entered the office where he was working.     

"No... it's nothing..." - replied Kurama as he shook his head - "By the way, shouldn't you be training Yugao-san?"     

"Shouldn't you be training Inari-chan? - asked Kushina as she raised an eyebrow.     

"I would be doing it personally, but I have to do this job that was imposed on me," replied Kurama as he rolled his eyes.

"Okay, Touché" - said Kurama as he shook his head.     

Kushina only smiled when she saw this, though she quickly changed her expression to a more serious one - "Okay, enough with the jokes"     

"What do you want to tell me?" - Kurama asked seriously.     

"I came to tell you that the first three barriers have already been replaced and strengthened," said Kushina seriously.     

"?" - Kurama gave the woman a look as if he were telling her to go on.     

"The truth is that the barriers around Uzu are much more difficult to put up, but at the same time they are much more resistant," responded Kushina as she shook her head. " This makes the time I had estimated to finish much longer than I thought"     

"Don't worry, we still have all the time in the world," responded Kurama with a smile.     

"No... I have to finish as soon as possible" - answered Kushina seriously - "Something tells me that peace is about to end"     

". . ." - Kurama was silent when he heard this because she was the second person who felt that things were about to go to shit.     

"I know you feel it too, Kuro-chan," said Kushina as she looked at her husband, "I can see it in your face"     

"You know me better than anyone else, Kushi-chan" - said Kurama while shaking his head - "Yes, I'm feeling it too, Kushi-chan..."     

The two Uzumaki remained silent as they felt the surrounding atmosphere began to get colder and colder.     

"We'd better change the subject..." - said Kurama as he shook his head - "The only thing we can do, is to prepare for what is to come"     

"Right, that's why I have to finish with the Seals as soon as possible" - said Kushina while sighing with grief - "Anyway, I better get on with my work... see you at dinner, Kuro-chan"     

"Just don't overdo yourself," said Kurama as he saw the woman leave.     

"I don't plan to, not when I'm going to make so many people worry if something happens to me" - replied Kushina as her silhouette disappeared.     

". . ." - Kurama was silent as he shook his head. For now there wasn't much he could do.

"How is your mission to infiltrate Uzu going on?" - asked Obito to the entity in front of him.     

"It's impossible," replied white Zetsu as he shook his head. "Before it was complicated, now it's impossible"     

"Impossible? How?" - asked Obito as he frowned.     

"Uzumaki Kushina strengthened the Seals surrounding Uzushiogakure no Sato... now it is impossible to enter" - answered white Zetsu while looking at the Uchiha.     

"Is there nothing you can do?" - asked Obito as he snorted with disdain.     

"Nothing at all" - answered white Zetsu while he frowned - "Listen, Obito... there is nothing I can do because the seals that the Uzumaki used, completely counters me, I can't even get within a kilometer of those Islands..."     

". . ." - Obito was silent as he felt his anger grow - "I guess we're going to have to do it by force..."     

"I don't recommend it, Obito" - answered white Zetsu.
