Cap 139: I've seen Rocks with More Sense of Humor

0Sasuke's roars of anguish continued to echo through the residence while Mikoto did not know what to do until she noticed the change in his lover's expression - "Kurama-kun!      0

"Give me a second, Miko-chan" - said Kurama seriously as he checked Sasuke's chakra again to make sure, only to notice that it was his 'big brother' Indra's chakra, and now that he felt better, it looked too much like Madara's - ". . ."

"ARGH!" - roared young Uchiha again.

"Kurama-kun!" - exclaimed Mikoto with concern.

"I got it!" - exclaimed Kurama as he appeared in front of Sasuke and indicated that the chakra in his eyes should circulate normally as he transferred some of his chakra containing Senjutsu into it.

Sasuke nodded weakly as the redhead slowly transferred his chakra because he understood that it was toxic if not administered cautiously. What he wanted least was for Sasuke to lose his eyes permanently.

The chakra transfer was taking up much of the redhead's concentration and that was why he was ignoring Mikoto's questions, which, when unanswered, were becoming unsettled.

"C-Calm down... Okaasan... I'm fine..." - Sasuke said painfully but the message was transferred to the poor woman who nodded carefully.

"Done..." - mumbled the redhead after 10 minutes of chakra transfer. He was mentally exhausted because the control he had to perform was much slower and more precise than anything he had done before - "For now don't open your eyes and wait for your chakra to calm down... don't use your Sharingan either until it wakes up normally".

"Ok..." - Sasuke nodded as he breathed heavily. He could feel his eyes being inside a fire so he decided to follow the ginger instructions.

"Sasuke-chan! Are you all right?! Does it hurt a lot?!" - Mikoto exclaimed with concern as she decided to call Tsunade to check on her baby.

"I am fine, Okaasan, I am just a little tired, that's all," Sasuke replied with a small forced smile that his mother noticed.

"I'm sorry... Sasuke-chan..." - Mikoto muttered.

"No... I am the one who is sorry" - sighed young Uchiha - "While I am angry that Kurama slept with you, that is all... I am not angry that the two of you are in a relationship because from what I have seen, he is making you happy... I just don't know how to react to all this"

Kurama was his best friend, his rival, and the person who kept him going on. He was the second pillar that helped him to improve, being the first his family, that's why he didn't know how to react to the news that he had slept with his mother because this was a betrayal to his trust.

"Look, Okaasan... I'm not one to get involved in your decisions or your life since you're an adult and as such, you can do whatever you want..." - continued the boy - "I don't care who he is, as long as you're happy, nothing else matters... after all, you've sacrificed too much for us"

"Sasuke-chan... I..." - Mikoto said with sorrow.

"Don't try to deny it... I knew... I just pretended not to know so as not to cause you any more trouble," said Sasuke as he shook his head. "I know about everything my father did to you, how he picked on other women, how the clan members spoke ill of you"

"!" - Mikoto opened her eyes in surprise because she never thought to hear anything like this.

"As much as some were afraid of Itachi Nii, it didn't matter if he didn't listen to it," Sasuke replied at the sound of a woman's sigh. "People talked about it at home and I heard it on the way home. At first, I didn't understand it, but as I grew up..."

"I'm sorry..." - said Mikoto as she began to cry.

"Okaasan... I'm not telling you this to hurt you, but to make you understand that I know the suffering you've been through," said Sasuke as he walked over to where he heard his mother's cries. "That's why I told you, stop worrying so much about us and live your life... you've already sacrificed too much for our happiness and now it's your turn"

Mikoto's tears ran up and down as she held her son in her arms with all her might.

Sasuke felt a bit embarrassed that someone was watching them, but none of that mattered right now.

"Thank you... thank you for supporting me..." - said Mikoto as she continued to cry - "I love you, son"

"And I love you too, Okaasan," Sasuke smiled as he wiped away her tears, only to feel a new one running down her mother's face. "'And what are you waiting for? Do you want an invitation to hug my mother?"

"Huh?" - Kurama was surprised when he heard this.

"Huh? Don't come with your shit!" - exclaimed Sasuke - "Can't you see she's crying? Come and console her, damn it!"

"And whose fault was that?" - Kurama asked as he rolled his eyes.

"Are you coming or not?" - Sasuke asked with a scowl, only to feel the redhead come close to embracing the woman, who slowly stopped crying. This day could not be happier for her, for not only had she received the support of her son, but two of the most important men in her life were at her side, comforting her.

"I promise I will kill you if you hurt her," Sasuke whispered in an almost neutral voice. "No... a promise is a bad word... I assure you I will kill you if you hurt her... and I will not stop until I keep my word.

"I know... I don't plan to..." - said Kurama as he recalled the scene with the nurses and thought firmly - "Not again..."

"I'm going to take your word for it" - said Sasuke as he stopped hugging his mother and walked out of the room, just to knock on the door frame - ". . ."

"Pff~ Hajaja~" - Mikoto couldn't contain her laughter at her son's actions, though she quickly went to his side and walked him to his room to rest. She would go for Tsunade in a moment so she could make sure her baby was in perfect condition.

"I forgot to tell him about Itachi's letter," Kurama said as he shook his head. "I'd better pass it on to Miko-chan so that she can give it to him when his eyes are fine because if I give it to him now, Sasuke will most likely force his eyes open and things could get worse"

"There, I've left Sasuke-chan in his room" - said Mikoto with a smile. A great weight had disappeared from her shoulders and now she could not be happier.

While the revelation that Sasuke knew about all the things she had endured for her family was painful, she could not hide the happiness she felt now that her children finally knew the whole truth.

"Will you come with me to Tsunade?" - asked Mikoto as she activated her Henge again.

"Of course," nodded the ginger as he changed his appearance because he didn't want the nurses to recognize him.

"Hmm..." - Mikoto thought about it for a few seconds and quickly switched from Henge, taking on a completely different appearance, then taking the arm of the young Uzumaki - "Come on~!"

Kurama gave him a smile as the two of them walked out of the Uchiha residence, not noticing that a crow was watching everything in silence.

* * * * *

"Is something wrong, Itachi?" - Kisame asked when he noticed that his partner had stopped.

"No... it's nothing" - denied the older Uchiha as he looked in the direction of Konoha - "It's just that I felt that something good had happened"

"The only good thing that can happen is that we find the information on those damn Jinchurikis and get out of this place" - said Kisame with annoyance - "Iwa is not the best place for someone like me... Does this shark-like appearance make you think of a lot of rocky mountains?"

". . ." - Itachi stared at him for a few seconds, then quickly ignored him.

"You are Sunshine and Rainbow, Itachi," said Kisame irritably. "I couldn't have asked for a better companion"

"I would have settled for Sasori, he may be annoying with his art but most of the time he is silent" - said Itachi neutrally - "Although I appreciate the compliment"

"It was sarcasm, damn it!" - roared the tailless Bijuu.

"I know," replied the older Uchiha as he looked at him silently.

". . ." - Kisame only sighed ruefully as he prayed that they would find the information on their targets quickly because he did not think he could hold out as long with someone like Itachi. He swore to God that he had known rocks with a greater sense of humor than his partner in crime.

"Now that I think about it... you remind me of someone," said Itachi as he looked at his partner.

"Who?" - asked Kisame as he gave him a look full of surprise.

"His name is Shisui, he is one of the last Uchiha" - said Itachi as he looked up at the sky.

"I guess he must be a pretty cool guy if we look alike" - said Kisame proudly.

"No... he's a clown who's always bothering me, he even thinks he's better than me when he still has zero romantic experience" - said Itachi with neutrality.

"ARGH!" - Kisame, on the other hand, was resisting the urge to hit his partner, because he knew that if they fought, the battle wouldn't be over for a long time.
