The Legend of the Kyubi

3"Itachi?" - asked Mikoto when she saw her son's expression but was surprised to see him ignore her, which had never happened before - "Son?!"     3

"!" - Itachi stopped his steps as he heard his mother's voice and gave her a look - "I'm sorry Kaasan... my mind was elsewhere"     

"Son... is something wrong?" - Mikoto asked seriously.     

"No... it's nothing" - Itachi only shook his head as he entered his room in silence.     

". . ." - Mikoto frowned but still nodded. She knew that if something afflicted her son, he would speak to her. . . it had always been so and today would be no different.     

* * * * *     

Itachi slowly withdrew the scroll and stared at it for a few seconds with a scowl. He knew this could be a trap but something told him that the masked man was not lying to him.     

Cautiously, he opened the scroll and from it, two more streams came out with the words "Uchiha's Secret" and "Mikoto's Secret".     

Itachi was surprised to read his mother's name on one of them, so he picked it up without a second thought. Again he opened the scroll carefully in case that Tobi guy did something strange, only to notice that the scroll was an ordinary one.     

Slowly, he began to read it, only to have his expression become increasingly unnatural, to the point that when he finished reading, his normally stoic expression was now full of rage.     

Itachi quickly quieted his growing anger because he felt that this was all a bad joke, but remembering his mother's actions and how much she spent at the Uzumaki Estate, he realized that the information was quite likely true.     

"I'd better talk to Kaasan to make sure..." - Itachi muttered as he controlled his breathing so that he could regain even calmer.     

As the seconds passed, his expression grew cold again and he picked up the second scroll that supposedly held a secret related to the Uchiha.     

Without thinking twice, he opened the scroll and began reading it, only to almost break it as he read its contents - "DANZO!"     

On the scroll was not only evidence of Danzo's actions against the Uchiha Clan four years ago, but he also had proof that he had attempted to kidnap Sasuke to make him one of their soulless puppets.     

"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, DANZO!" - roared Itachi as he felt his chakra explode     

"ITACHI!" - exclaimed Mikoto as he entered his son's room without caring about the consequences - "WHAT'S GOING ON?!"     

"Okaasan..." - said Itachi as he clenched his teeth furiously. He just threw the scroll to his mother to read.     

"Danzo! You fucking bastard!" - exclaimed Mikoto angrily. She knew that bastard had been responsible for the massacre of her clan, but she never thought that his actions had not stopped there, but that he had also attempted to abduct her and her baby multiple times, which would have resulted in success if not for the fact that Kurama and Kushina had been helping them from the shadows.     

"Kaasan... I'm going to go kill that bastard..." - said Itachi coldly but was stopped by his mother - "Itachi... I want to kill that bastard too for all he's done... but we don't know where he is... it's even possible he's not even in Konoha."     

". . ." - Itachi was silent for a few seconds as he sighed with regret, though his expression changed to a cold one when he remembered something - "Kaasan. . . there's something else I have to show you. . ."     

"Something else about Danzo's dirty moves?" - Mikoto asked seriously - "How did you get that information?"     

"I got it from an Akatsuki member who asked me to join them," said Itachi seriously.     

"Huh?" - Mikoto couldn't believe her ears because she never thought it would be like this, but her expression changed to one of terror when she read the second scroll - ". . ."     

Itachi only looked at her silently while she seemed to be having a nervous breakdown.     

"Itachi... I..." - said Mikoto in shame and panic.     

"Kaasan... how true is all this?" - his eldest son asked seriously.     

". . ." - Mikoto didn't know what to say to this question, only to sigh with regret - "Everything..."     

"Ok. . . now that I have the answer . . . I need to talk seriously to Kurama..." - said Itachi as he left the room.     

"Wait, Itachi!" - exclaimed Mikoto as she ran after her son, only to notice that he had disappeared - "Shit! I have to go to Kurama to see that nothing bad happens!"     

She knew her son was furious about Danzo and it didn't help that he discovered that she had not only slept with Kurama (more than once) but was also pregnant.

Kurama was walking home when he felt a kunai fly in his direction.     

With one quick move, he grabbed the gun and looked at the attacker, only to discover it was none other than Itachi - "Why was that?"     

"I think you know very well..." - said Itachi coldly as his eyes changed - "Tsukuyomi"     

* * * * *     

"Deja vu..." - murmured Kurama as he looked around, only to find that he was in a dark place with a completely red sky and trapped in a kind of Cross - "Ok... I guess you discover that..."     

"That you slept with my mother?" - Itachi asked - "Yes, I did find out... also that she was pregnant"     

"How?" - Kurama asked with a scowl - "I had planned to tell you myself when I returned from my mission to look for Tsunade..."     

"I'll try to be civilized enough to ask how it happened..." - said Itachi as he looked cold-heartedly at the redhead - "And I hope you won't lie to me"     

"I don't plan to do it..." - sighed Kurama - "In fact, I could destroy your illusion if I wanted to"     

"I know..." - Nodded Itachi - "That's why I'm giving you the chance to speak"     

* * * * *     

"Shit! I didn't make it in time!" - exclaimed Mikoto as she watched her son use the Tsukuyomi against the man she loved - "Itachi... please don't do anything stupid..."     

Though he breathed a sigh of relief when he noticed two of the most important men in his life, they were as if nothing had happened.     

"Itachi! Kurama-kun!" - exclaimed Mikoto as she jumped in between the two.     

"Kaasan... I want to ask you just one question..." - said Itachi as he looked calmly at his mother - "Are you happy?"     

"Yes" - answered Mikoto almost immediately as she walked up to the redhead and gave him a little hug - "Next to him, I've spent the best days I've had since you were born..."     

". . ." - Itachi breathed a sigh as he looked at the ginger again - "What we talk about, will remain between us... I only expect one thing from you... Don't hurt my mother or I swear that the Tsukuyomi will be the least of your problems..."     

"I know... and I certainly never thought of hurting her" - said Kurama as he nodded firmly.     

"That takes a load off my mind..." - muttered Itachi as he turned around.     

"Are you sure you want to do that?" - asked Kurama seriously.     

"Yes... it is the only way to protect them," said Itachi as he started to walk back to the Uchiha Residence.     

Having said that, he disappeared from the place.     

"Kurama-kun... are you okay?" - Mikoto asked with concern.     

"Yes... although I have to admit that Itachi is scary when he proposes," said Kurama as he remembered how he had threatened to incinerate his masculinity with an Amaterasu.     

Mikoto only gave him a smile when she saw that it was all over in a good way - "Kurama-kun... what will he do?"     

"I'm sure you know," said Kurama as he looked at the beautiful black-haired woman.     

"I feared it..." - muttered Mikoto. She had noticed the change in her eldest son's gaze, the same gaze that many Uchiha had in the past.     

"If it will ease your mind a bit, I will be his contact and make sure nothing bad happens to him" - said Kurama with a smile as the woman hugged him again - "Thank you..."     

"You don't need to give it... they are important to you, so they are to me" - smiled the redhead as the two looked at each other silently.     

"How badly did he react?" - Mikoto asked curiously.     

"Let us just say that if I do not treat you as a Daimyo, our daughter will not be able to get a little brother," Kurama said as he watched the woman give him a flirtatious smile.     

"I swear you would have octuplets if I could get you pregnant when you were already pregnant," said Kurama in a husky voice as he watched the Uchiha woman give him an even more seductive smile.     

"What do you say? You want to test that theory?" - Mikoto asked, "We could bring Kushina in to have more test subjects.     

"I love the sound of that," nodded Kurama as he watched the woman create a Kage Bunshin and send it home. "Besides, I have to tell you about the mission I have to do tomorrow with Ero Sennin"     

"You'd better tell Kushina that you're going on a mission and then make it up to her with our little experiment," said Mikoto in a flirtatious tone - "It's the only way she won't be bothered to hear that you're going out again"     

"I will take your suggestion," the redheaded man nodded as he created a seal to prevent anyone from seeing them as he saw that Mikoto did not wish to release him in the least.
