Cap 63: Uzumaki Rule N°1: Never insult their hair

0Kurama was returning to the tower with Karin on his back. The poor girl was still unconscious but at least her breathing was stable.

"Who is she?" - Sasuke asked when he saw the girl.

"Really? You go out for fifteen minutes and come back with another girl for your harem?" - Kiba said with a depressed tone - "This is already ridiculous"

"Look at his hair, you idiot!" - shouted Sakura while she hit her teammate on the head when she realized the particularity of the unconscious girl - "Don't you realize such an obvious detail?

"Grr... stop hitting me you fucking pink board" - roared Kiba as his gaze turned wild but he calmed down when he received another blow from his teammate.

"An Uzumaki?" - Shikamaru asked in surprise - "I don't remember seeing her when we were at the first test"

"In the girl's defense, you don't notice anything about your surroundings unless it's necessary because you find it troublesome" - said Shino while looking at his friend - "I guess she's just like me, a person of little presence... she probably also had a cap or a hood covering her hair"

"We'll talk about that later, I think we'd better open the scrolls and get it over with," said Ino as the others nodded.

"By the way... where is Lee's team?" - asked Kurama, not seeing them anywhere.

"The sir 'I am superior to all', decided to open the scrolls on his own," Sakura snorted with a scowl. Honestly, she was not impressed with the Hyuga boy for all the damage he had caused her friend.

Kurama only nodded as he instructed Ino to open the scrolls. The others did the same and after a few seconds, the sensei from each of the teams appeared in front of them.

"Good work, boys," Kakashi said as he smiled at them with his visible eye but his expression quickly turned serious - "I heard what happened in the Forest of Death and it is a relief to see that you are well.

"I almost... still have this mark on my neck" - snorted Sasuke - "I just hope Kushina-san can fix it"

"I have informed her, she will come as soon as possible" - Kakashi nodded as he turned to Kiba and Sakura - "I am proud of you"

"But I did nothing," Sakura muttered ruefully.

"Sakura... I do not care what you could not do, what makes me feel proud is what you did" - answered the silver-haired man with a smile - "You did a good job, my student"

"Hai..." - Sakura only cried when she heard her sensei because it was one of the few times that someone told her that she did a good job. Nobody took her into account because she was the most normal of the rookies of this year and to hear that finally she began to be recognized, brought her great happiness.

"Good job" - that was all Yamato said as his Genins nodded silently.

"Ok, that's strange" - said Kurenai when she saw how simple the congratulations were from her co-worker - "By the way, well-done guys"

"Thank you, Kurenai sensei" - replied Hinata as Ino smiled at her instructor.

"She's an Uzumaki... isn't she?" - Kurenai said seriously when she saw the girl on the back of the red-haired young man - "Her hair, her somewhat familiar presence"

"The only thing missing is that she is addicted to Ramen" - added Kakashi but he kept silent when he noticed the look that everyone was giving him - "What? Kurama, Kushina-sama and Mito-sama are or were addicted to Ramen"

"I think we're getting off track," Yamato said seriously. "From the constitution of that poor girl, I can tell that not only does she have a severe case of malnutrition, but also her life force is quite reduced... it's like she's being drained little by little"

"I'm sure it has something to do with one of my clan's techniques" - sighed Kurama while shaking his head - "A branch of the Uzumaki Clan was assigned to be doctors so they created a Jutsu that was hereditary... this consisted in that if someone bit them, they could transfer some of their Chakra to increase the patient's regenerative factor, but the more severe the wound, the more chakra the user would lose in the process"

"What can we do with her?" - Shikamaru asked with a scowl. Honestly, this was a bit of a problem because the Uzumaki girl was a certified shinobi of Kusa, so they had no legal control over her. When the exams were over, they would have to turn her over to their 'home'.

"That's simple," Kurama said seriously. "She is one of the few members of the Uzumaki Clan of Uzu who are still alive, so as their leader, I must get her back if her living conditions are not suitable. I just need a medical record and a psychological test and a statement from her to ask for her rescue"

"I don't think Kusa wants to give her up that easily," Kurenai said seriously.

"They have no choice," the redheaded young man snorted. "As the leader of the Uzumaki Clan and Daimyo of Uzu no Kuni, I have the right and duty to protect my people. Not to mention that the other Daimyo still owe my clan a few favors"

". . ." - those present were only silent.

"That's why I think politics is problematic," Shikamaru muttered as he sighed ruefully.

"I think we'd better get the girl to the medical wing," said Kurenai as the others nodded.

"Where am I?" - Karin muttered as she slowly opened her eyes. She felt extremely tired but still began to remember what had happened - "Right! An Uzumaki saved me!"

"It's good to see you're awake, young lady" - smiled an elderly man as he looked at her carefully - "Do you feel any discomfort?"

"Just tired..." - answered Karin as she looked around - "Where am I?"

"You're in the infirmary at Death Forest Tower" - answered the doctor - "Luckily you don't have any fractures or injuries..."

". . ." - Karin was silent for a few seconds - "How long was I unconscious?"

"About four hours or so," answered the doctor.

"Thank you..." - murmured the red-haired girl - "By the way... where is the boy who rescued me?"

"Kurama Uzumaki?" - asked the doctor as he thought, "Usually the candidates are resting right now because the third test is about to begin"

"If it's not too much trouble, I'd like to be able to talk to him so that I can thank him" - said Karin seriously.

"Ok... I'll see if I can get in touch with him" - the doctor nodded as he left the room - "I forgot... keep resting, you're not completely recovered yet"

"Okay" - the redhead nodded.

After 15 minutes, Kurama and the others entered the room.

Karin became defensive but quickly recovered her composure.

"It's not a bad reaction," Kakashi nodded. "A shinobi always has to be on his guard, especially when he's in a place he doesn't know"

". . ." - Karin didn't answer, she just looked at the people in the room coldly.

"I heard you wanted to talk to me," Kurama said as he walked to the bed where the Uzumaki girl was lying.

"Yes..." - Karin nodded. - "I wanted to thank you for saving me."

"It's the least I can do for someone in my clan" - smiled the redhead - "Now, there's something I want to ask you"

". . ." - Karin was silent but still nodded calmly.

"How is your life in Kusa?"- Kurama asked seriously - "Please be honest with me because depending on your answer, I might be able to help you."

Karin was silent again. She felt that he was not lying, not counting that he was part of her clan so there was no reason to hurt her, so she started to tell her life in Kusa without caring that there were more people present.

Those present were only silent as they felt the fury of the redhead increase with each chapter of Karin's life she recounted, to the point that it exploded completely when she heard about the **** attempts.

"Very well... Very well..." - muttered the Redhead as he felt he could barely contain his rage.

"Calm down, Kurama-kun," said Hinata with concern as she put her hand on the shoulder of the boy she liked.

"Ok..." - the redheaded man muttered as he tried to relax. "I'm sorry I lost my temper.

Karin was surprised that a boy she barely knew reacted like this for his life - "I guess it's true what I read about our clan"

"That we are close?" - Kurama asked with a smile.

"And that they must not make fun of our hair," Karin nodded. She still remembered how she reacted when some idiots in Kusa called her a tomato.

"Exactly," Kurama nodded.

"What if someone insults your hair?" - Sasuke asked curiously.

"There is only one way to check," Sakura said as she looked at Kiba. He had fallen asleep since the girl had begun her story - "Hey, Kiba!"

"Huh?!" - Kiba jumped up in surprise when he was woken up so suddenly - "What do you want, pink board? Didn't you see I was sleeping?"

"I'll give you 5,000 Ryo if you insult Karin and Kurama's hair" - said Sakura with a smile.

"It's a deal!" - Kiba nodded as he looked at the two redheads. "So the Tomato and the Pumpkin are family?

A deep silence fell over the hospital room as Kiba felt his back freeze completely.

"Did you insult our hair?" - the two Uzumaki asked at the same time.

". . ." - Kiba was silent.

"Well done Kiba... you broke the Uzumaki Rule No. 1" - said Kurama with a cold smile as he put his hand on his friend's shoulder - "Now your prize... tell me Kiba... How much is 1000-3?"

"AAAAAAAAAH~!" - Kiba only screamed in fear when he felt the redhead drag him out of the room.
