44. Defying a God
"What's this place?"-Luffy
"I think this is Enel's palace. It looks like he destroy it today. Luffy, i will stay here and try to stop his attack."-Jon
"Alright, i'll go up and save Nami"-Luffy
Jon try to make Kirin again but still failed, while Luffy try to climb again but he fall because Enel attack the Giant Jack and make an explosion that push Luffy back.
"It's useless, you will never reach Arc Maxim. Yahahaha"-Enel
Luffy didn't care about it and keep climbing, and Jon also keep trying to make Kirin. Then suddenly Nami appear with her waver.
"Nami, i thought you were still with Enel"-Luffy
"I have run away with Usopp and Sanji."-Nami
Suddenly they all see a big ball of black cloud come down toward the angel town, where Conis and other lived. It keep coming down and it will reach the town soon. Enel also keep striking lightning with his Mamaragan.
"Yahahaha, i will destroy the town first before destroying the whole Skypiea"-Enel
Jon now think really hard at what he should do. If that cloud hit the town, Enel will use his lightning power inside that cloud and destroy the town easily. He try to think a way to make a jutsu easier and faster. He look at the cloud ball and he remember it, Naruto's trick to train rasengan quickly.
'Shadow clone, i need to make some shadow clone and make kirin together. With each clone controlling smaller part of the jutsu, i can make kirin soon.'-Jon
Jon then fully activate his Yin Seal, his body now full of black mark from the seal. He make 5 clones, and because of Yin Seal, the clones have much higher chakra than usual, almost the same as Jon's normal chakra.
Jon and his clones gather and make hand seals together. Then they gather their hand and a chidori appear in the middle of their formation. They throw it to the sky and finally they can gather the lightning and make a small lightning kirin.
Kirin jutsu is said to be easier to control and harder to made. Kirin need long preparation like the cloud, but Enel has made it so Jon can skip that step. Even if it is said to be easy to control, but this is his first time using it. Kirin also use natural lightning so he is controlling a nature power and it's hard. To gather the lightning is also the hard part. If it is that easy, then it will not be S-rank ninjutsu.
"What is that?"-Zoro
The others below also look up to see a lightning kirin appear on the sky.
"My original has succes, it's his new jutsu. Now let's hope it will stop Enel's attack."-Jon's clone
Luffy and Nami also surprised, they know it's Jon jutsu. Enel also surprised, someone has challenged him at controlling lightning, but he underestimate the small kirin.
"Yahahaha, what can your small lightning do?"-Enel
"You'll see"-Jon
Jon then control the kirin to fly toward the cloud ball. It entered the ball and rampaging inside. Jon and his clones try to gather more lightning inside the ball. It's hard and they need to concentrate, but it's work. The kirin absorb the lightning there and become bigger but now it's harder to controlled.
Enel also realize this and he start to control the lightning inside the ball. Enel has better control of lightning than Jon, so now Jon is on the losing end. But he push himself and the cloud ball start to go up again after being pushed by the dragon. Enel got angry and he try to take control of the kirin.
Jon realize this, so he think of solution. He saw the ball has go up far enough from town. So he decide to make a desperate move. He will attack the top of cloud ball from inside. The best scenario, it will go up and he can hold it until Luffy defeat Enel. The worst scenario, it will not do anything and Enel take control of his Kirin.
Enel also try to strike Jon and his clones but Luffy deflected the lightning with his rubber hand. He knew that if Jon fail, the town will be destroyed. So he protect Jon while Jon try to destroy the cloud ball.
~On Skypiea~
All the citizen have evacuated after Conis warn them with some hard persuassion. The 'Angels', Conis's people, have evacuated. They even warn the Shandians even tough they're at odds with each other. The Shandians also evacuate after seeing Enel's Arc Maxim and the black cloud.
Most citizens from Skypiea have left and go down the milky way. There's only a few people that still on the upper level. Most people that have arrived on the lower cloud, saw some holes on the cloud above. It is made by Enel's 'Mamaragan' lighting strike.
From some holes, they can see Enel made a big cloud ball and it hover above their town. It will certainly destroy it. But then they saw a lightining beast move fast and got inside the cloud ball. Everyone from upper and lower white sea can hear rumbling voice and lightning that striking inside that ball.
When the beast come inside, the ball stop going down. After sometime, it start to go up to the sky. Everyone know that there's someone that has fighting with God Enel. They don't know who have the courage to fight God Enel that seem invincible to them, but they hope he can win. They all hailed and praised Enel before, but now they only hope for his lost.
~On Giant Jack~
Jon execute his plan and he make the kirin go up and strike the top of the cloud. Enel try to strike too and it works. Enel's lightning hit the Kirin and it make a big explosion. Jon's kirin has gather lightning and become bigger, so when Enel strike it with big lightning too it create a big explosion.
The explosion create a big shockwave and the cloud ball dispersed. It even dispersed black clouds near that area. The town also receive some damage from the shockwave but it still there. If Enel's attack landed, the town will be gone together with the cloud it stand on.
"Well, that's not the plan but that also a better result than the town got destroyed completely. I see all the citizens have evacuated afterall."-Jon
Enel got angry at this but his ball has gone. Luffy continue to climb, while Nami keep telling him they need to run away. She keep getting pessimistic and discouraging Luffy that he will not win. Her complains got in Jon's nerve, so he shout.
"SHUT UP NAMI! Have you ever think why he didn't want to leave? You never ask him anything and keep discouraging him. He is your captain, you must believe him more than anyone else. Rather than keep getting pessimistic, why not ask and help him do what he want."-Jon
Nami got startled seeing Jon got angry at her. Altough they often argue but he never got angry at her. So Nami ask Luffy why he want to defeat Enel. So Luffy tell her about the golden bell, if they ring it, old man Cricket will heard it and he will stop diving and risking his life.
Nami got silent hearing that and finally decide to help. She make a message on a leaf and throw it down for the ones that wait below. They hadn't leave yet, so Nami send a message for their help.
"What is that?"-Jon
"I send a message for them to make this Giant Jack fall to the west. That way we can use waver to reach Enel's ship"-Nami
"WTF, did you want to crush me, your waver is only enough for you and Luffy."-Jon
"Ah, i forgot"-Nami
"OOYY!"-Jon
Jon think what to do then he saw the cloud under him and got an idea. He take out some breath dials and put it below the cloud at east side. Then he cut the cloud so it could fly and not fall with the Giant Jack.
But Enel will not stay silent, he make many lightning strike the ground. So Jon and his clones make Kirin again and defend the lightning strike. When Kirin got strike by lightning, it got bigger because the lightning infuse in it. But now Enel will not leave it, he start to strike and try to control Kirin with his lightning power.
~At the ground below~
The crew see a big leaf fall and it has some writing so they read it. They understand the message and decide to do it. Zoro run and cut a vine, but the Giant Jack is still stood. It has two vines, and one vine is strong enough to hold it's big trunk.
Zoro has cut a vine, but then he fall to the ruins below. He hasn't healed completely afterall and now he can't get up to cut the other vine. Usopp then attack it with his bullets but it didn't affect the Jack at all.
"Doton Barrier: Earth Prison Dome of Magnificent Nothingness"-Jon's clone
Jon's clone decide to help, but he make an earth dome before he leave to protect the others if Enel strike them. He made 2 big door if they need to leave and to monitor situation. This barrier can repaired itself as long as he supply it with chakra, but he has other plan.
"I will try to break the other vine, but i will use all of my chakra so i will get dispelled. You guys stay in this dome, it will protect you from one strike without my control, so if you got striked once, leave this place after that."-Jon's clone
"Hey, did you said the golden bell is up there? Is that why Mugiwara go up there? To ring the bell?"-Wyper
"Yes, he will do it for his friend, Montblanc Cricket, that want find the truth about his ancestor Montblanc Norland."-Robin
"I believe your story now red eyes. I will go and make the Jack fall. This is our tribe promise to our great hero, Kalgara. You just stay here and protect everyone."-Wyper
Before anyone could say anything, Wyper walk toward Giant Jack and he climb the other vine. He put his right hand on the Jack and his left hand support it.
"REJECT!"-Wyper
Suddenly a big hole appear and the Jack fall to the west. The Giant Jack has fall, but Wyper need to pay a big price as his right hand is broken and he fell to the ruins of Shandora below.
"GO MUGIWARA! LIGHT THE FIRE OF SHANDORA!"-Wyper
~On Giant Jack~
Nami, Luffy, and Jon feel the Jack move and they start their plan. Nami and Luffy ride the waver at full speed to climb the falling Jack. Jon and his clones stay at the flying cloud and keep controlling Kirin that keep getting bigger. Enel keep trying to take control of Kirin but Jon and his clone won't give it away easily.
Enel saw Luffy and Nami have almost arrive, so he stop fighting Jon over Kirin and decide to strike Luffy and Nami. But Jon control his Kirin to defend them, it's easier without Enel's interference. Enel got enough of this and he make a much more bigger ball then before above them all.
"LUFFY, JUST GO, I WILL TAKE CARE OF IT!"-Jon
"Yahahaha, your luck before will not happen again"-Enel
"Luck is it?"-Jon
Jon is now start panting because he need to use a lot of chakra to keep control of Kirin when Enel try to take over it. Lightning logia is not a joke, he is basically the lightning itself. To get control of Kirin, Jon need to use more chakra, and he also just learn this technique so he need more chakra than how it should be normally.
So his chakra that spend to control it are high enough. He can spend less chakra if he just strike down his Kirin and not make it run around the sky like what he did now. Luckily he have Yin Seal, but it will depleted soon. Altough he doesn't need to worry about being a grandpa if the seal is dry, he will at least faint for some time.
"It's all or nothing"-Jon
