29. What a 'Normal' Journey
The next day they found a small island, but this is an uninhabitated island. They found a lot of fruits and Sanji said that these fruits can be their food supplies for some days. So Nami tell the crew to gather the fruits and someone will guard the ship. They will decide using sticks, and this make Zoro protest as why she's commanding them. Nami had a tickmark and pointed at Luffy that take 4 sticks by himself.
"Usually the Captain will tell us what to do, but do you want him to tell you what to do?"-Nami
""Nonono, there's no way""-All
After sometime they decide that Chopper will guard the ship while the others will search supplies. Only Nami that didn't search for supplies as she want to draw the island map. They start to move around to search for supplies, and they decide to search with 2an teams. Just when they're about to search by 2 man teams, Jon remind them to bring their denden mushi and call if they need something, especially Zoro.
"Usopp, go with Zoro. We don't want to leave someone here afterall. Zoro, if you got separated from Usopp, immediately call him amd don't move from your spot. Usopp, if you can't find him in 15 minutes call me and Nami ASAP."-Jon
"Roger"-Usopp saluted
"Huh? What do you mean Jon? I can go alone just so you know."-Zoro
The other have a deadpan face and ignore Zoro's statement, making him have a tickmark. Then they go on their own ways, Jon make some clones first as it's rare for them to land on an island so he tell the clones to train some C-ranked earth jutsu as they're easier and faster to train. Jon stay with Luffy because he know Luffy will most likely didn't search for food correctly as he only want to explore. And he's right, Luffy just passed by a lot of food ingredients because he only look around to find something interesting.
Jon found a lot of ingredient until his basket is full and he even filled Luffy's basket until it full but Luffy didn't notice as he's still looking around. Jon still found many ingredient and didn't want to waste it so he use his inventory. Even if he filled the inventory until it full, he know that the food will depleted in some days as the crew appetite is very high, including him.
If someone from earth saw him eating that much, they will be stunned and speechless because there's no way the stomach can store that many food. But in this world, stomach's volume logic didn't seem to work and only the energy inside the food counted. That's why he can replenish his energy and chakra faster by eating.
After some hours of 'foraging' the island, they go back to the ship. There's nothing noticable happened on the island. The island looks like a tropical island but all the plants are very new to Jon and also the crew didn't know some of it. Jon actually take a lot of pictures of the plants and animals that he never see which basically everything as this is a different world than eart. He also regret he can't take pictures of those dinosaurs on Little Garden. How cool it is to have pictures with a real dinosaurs.
When they arrived on the ship, Jon surprised seeing Chopper become closer to Robin. He's always cautious and a little scared before when he's near Robin.
'Maybe they have some talk and fun together. Well, it's better now that they don't seem very distant.'-Jon
It's already late so they decide to make a camp at the beach. Also they don't want to spend their time on the sea everyday, they missed land so atleast they will stay for one day. When everyone come back, Sanji start to cook their food. Nami surprised hearing that Zoro is actually the one that gather the food in his group with Usopp, but Jon didn't surprised. Usopp must've been too scared to look for food, that's also why he ask him to follow Zoro. The situation is similar to his team with Luffy.
They have a camping party that night, and luckily Jon found many food supplies to provide it. When it's time to sleep, Jon as usual call Vivi first then he make a camp using his old camping tools. He want to sleep on a solid ground that won't sway like the ship. It's really a peaceful day.
The next day they set sail again and it's the same as usual. They train a little, paling around and get scolded by Nami, a usual day for the crew. Some days later, Luffy, Usopp, Chopper, and Jon decide to compete in fishing. Usopp go first and he seem to get a big fish, but it's not. Luffy go next and after sometime he actually got something big. It landed on the deck and make a loud sound alerting everyone.
They look at it and it's actually not a fish. It's like a very big denden mushi that has tentacles. But sometime later someone come out from the shell. He introduced himself and he's actually a salesman.
'What a weird company, selling inside a denden mushi'-Jon
The salesman, Rice-Rice, start to offer his product like a bad salesman. His products are all weird and seem useless. But then Nami ask if he sell big and high quality papers and she said she will pay no matter how high the price. This, of course, make the crew surprised, who won't?
"WHAAATTT!!?"-Luffy
"NAMI CHOOSE TO SPEND MONEY?"-Usopp
"ARE WE IN A DREAM RIGHT NOW?"-Jon
"THAT MONEY GRUBBER NAMI IS.."-Zoro
""READY TO PAY NO MATTER THE PRICE""-Luffy, Usopp, Jon and Zoro
"You guys are exaggerating."-Sanji
The salesman then took out a pack of big sized papers and say that the price is 48 mil berri. Of course Nami will ask for lower price even if she said will pay no matter the price. So they start their bid war, but it seem strange as the salesman easily lower the price a lot, so Jon have an idea.
"Oi Nami, did you really need to pay?"-Jon
"Hmm? What do you mean Jon?"-Nami
"Yare-yare daze, we're pirates you know. Why must we pay?"-Jon
Jon smirk while pointing at their flag. Zoro and Sanji also smirk while Luffy confused. When the salesman see the flag, suddenly he become scared and run away with his denden mushi ride, leaving all the things that he take out earlier. The crew of course dumbfounded seeing this, even Jon. He just want to tease the man but his reaction is a too much.
Robin said that it's because Luffy has become famous after Alabasta and it make the man scared. They don't think much and start doing what they do before. They got some free items even if they're useless, but it's free, who will let free items go?
Nami take the papers inside and warn everyone to not come inside and keep quiet. But how can they keep quiet even if Nami ask them. Nami start to redraw her maps on the new papers but of course she's disturbed by the crew rowdiness. Sanji and Zoro have their usual brawl while the Luffy and Jon cheering them. So Nami get out and hit them like usual too.
Nami went back inside and the other start to clean the ship. They play around while cleaning and of of course, they disturb Nami again. Nami become mad and tell that the one who disturb her again will pay 100k berri so they stay quiet. They decide to sleep so they can be quiet but Chopper choose to stay awake.
Some hours later Chopper saw a typhoon in the ship's way, so he wake the others but only Jon has wake up. He's surprised seeing the typhoon and go to call Nami, but Chopper stop him because he nees to pay 100k berri. Jon just laugh and calm him down. Jon calles Nami and she got out, she's surprises seeing the big typhoon and wake the others. They do what Nami say to avoid the typhoon and they're saved. So of course, they have a party again.
"What's up Chopper?"-Jon
"I thought Nami will charge you 100k berri"-Chopper
"Hahaha, of course not, she just say that so we won't bother her when she draw her maps. If an emergency happen and we need our navigator, how can she stay quiet and let it happen. Remember Chopper, real friendship is much higher than money. Even if Nami is angry she won't hate us, so don't worry."-Jon
"Yeah, but i'm still angry about your interruption earlier."-Nami smirk to Jon
"I-is that so?"-Jon just sweatdrop
"Hehehe"-Chopper
They continue their party until morning because they already sleep earlier. The next day, they got inside a very thick mist. The crew look around for exit or danger, and sometime later a ship appear right in front of them. They avoid it but it's actually a Marine ship. They move quietly but then they saw a kid on the side of Marine ship stare at the sky quietly.
The kid saw their ship and surprised, then he fell from the ship so the crew help him. The kid faint so the crew bring him inside. After he wake up Sanji give him a soup and he refused because they're pirates. But sometime later he finally eat it, and ask Sanji to join Marines instead of this lousy pirates with bad ship.
"Who's lousy you damn it?!"-Luffy
"What do you mean bad ship, listen this ship is..."-Usopp
Usopp start explaining about the ship history and his village which ignores by everyone else. The kid name is Tajio, he's an apprentice cook and he made a mistake earlier and spill the curry they made for a conference of Captains in that area. So the chef tell him to make the curry again because he's the one that spill it. But he doesn't have confidence, so Sanji lecture him and tell his own story, and he's dissapointed at the kid that give up that easily.
When Sanji's about to leave, the kid tell his dream about All Blue which is the same as Sanji. Finally the crew decide to help him and Sanji will help him make the curry. They go with Luffy stretch his hand to fly to the Marine ship. When they leave, Jon have an idea and leave too. He ask Nami to call him if they're about to leave, he want to gather intel in the Marine ship.
Jon run on water and slip inside the ship quietly. He slip past many marines and found some room. He got inside the rooms one by one but didn't find anything that can give him information. Then he finally find a room full of documents, but there're some Marines there.
He go out and kidnapp a Marine that seem to have a rather high rank and knock him out. Then, he transform into that Marine and come inside the room. He start reading and no one suspect him as he has the Marine's identity card. He copied some important documents, but of course, there's no high ranked information. There's no way that high ranked informations will be stored in a ship. But he find many officer names and some of their information.
He want to robbed the ship but decide not to, or Tajio will be troubled. He didn't found important info here so he decide to leave. When he want to leave, he saw Luffy's photo and want to take a look at it. But just when he move, his denden mushi ring. So he just leave and answet the call, it's Nami telling him that it's time to leave.
'Hmm, maybe it's just Luffy's old bounty poster.'-Jon
They leave immediately after that and nothing remarkable happened until some days later when rain pour down. They can't do anything when the rain happen. Luffy that didn't have anything to do at all become bored. He ask Usopp for something interesting so Usopp take out a firework but Nami forbid it because it can attract enemy.
Luffy became dejected and ask Robin about the book she read and take it, he want to read it so the crew become very surprised. Sea is really a mysterious place indeed. But when Zoro come inside and say he saw an island, Luffy immediately leave his book.
They land on the island and the island actually about to have a festival tonight. Usopp decide to ask for gunpowder from the firework crafter so he left. The other do their own business and enjoy the town after many days on sea. Jon like usual gathering information. But after some hours he didn't find anything useful as this just is a normal town.
But then he heard about the incident that killed the firework crafter couple. So now only an old man and his grand daughter that make fireworks. Jon decide to check on Usopp that go to the workshop. He hope they won't launch the dangerous firework, or Usopp will got killed.
When Jon arrived there, Usopp is talking with the old man. He actually have an idea to launch the big ass firework safely. Jon think it's possible and safe, so he decide to stay hiding as this is Usopp moment to shine. Maybe he will get more motivation so Jon will not ruin it. But he will stay and help them if things go wrong.
Sometime later the firework festival begin. The fireworks look really pretty and there are so many of them. Jon think that it's like a new year festival on earth. He only saw this scale of fireworks on TV but now he see it himself.
'If Vivi is here this will be perfect.'-Jon
After sometime the fireworks end, but then Usopp launch his own firework that seem pitiful compared to the fireworks before. But it draws everyone attention. Then the old man throw some fire spark inside the big tower. Then the big ass firework launched very high in the sky and,
*BBBOOOOMMMM*
*KACHAKACHAKACHA*
The big ass firework explode and covering the sky with a very big spark for sometime. Everyone cheer on this and Jon relief there's no incident. The crew stay in the town for the nighy as this is a festival and they have money so of course they need to enjoy it. It's really a fun and normal journey for Jon.
