13. Leaving & Reflection
"Chopper, do you want to go with them?"-Kureha
"Yes doctorin, i want to see the world that doctor always talking about."-Chopper
Kureha smile seeing this, she remember Hiruluk always admire pirate's freedom and dream. They talk a lot, especially Kureha, she pour all of her feelings with her words. They smile, laugh, cry, even shouting sometimes, but they are happy. Kureha thought that Chopper would hesitate and give up after some talk, but he resolve it fast. She also told Chopper her hope for him, making him cry and happy. Then they pack up some medical necessity in Chopper's backpack. Sometimes later, they got out to meet the crew while Chopper pulling his carriage.
"Are you ready Chopper?"-Luffy
"Yeah"-Chopper
"Yosh, let's go guys!"-Luffy
The crew got up on the carriage and Chopper pull it toward a rope line that he usually use.
"Take care of yourself Chopper, you can come back here anytime."-Kureha
"Yes doctorin."-Chopper
Then they start to go down pretty fast. The crew like the new sensation of going down the rope riding the carriage. They keep going toward Merry, but then they heard canon's firing sound from the castle.
~At the Castle~
While Strawhats start to going down, Kureha woke the villagers and tell them to take the canons out. The villagers can't refuse her, they're still scared of her. They afraid she will take all of their money if they refuse. So they take all the canon out. Kureha instruct them to aim the canons to the sky. Then the villagers load it with some special canon balls from Kureha. After they load all the canons, they shoot them at the same time.
*BOOM-BOOM-BOOM*
The canon balls explode, pouring out a lot of pink solution particles instead of fire & smoke. The solution particles covering the sky and mix with the cloud and snow that fall from the sky. The sky turn into pink color, and paired with the mountain it looks like a Sakura tree blooming on this winter island. Pairing with bright moonlight makig it looks really pretty and everyone mesmerized by it.
~Back with Strawhats~
Chopper cry seeing this, because it's Hiruluk's heart medicine solutions. Now finally he can see it being used. Finally Hiruluk's dream has been fulfilled by dr. Kureha, and Chopper can see it himself. Now he will achieve his own dream so he can make them proud.
The others are mesmerized seeing this, especally the girls. They smile and knew that this is Kureha's goodbye gift for Chopper. Jon just start thinking that he want to see a real Sakura tree blooming, because he only see it from media. Then he suddenly remember of a certain useless kunoichi and start spitting. He doesn't hate Sakura but he doesn't like her too. His reason is, well you guys know it too. But he like her in certain doujinshi genre, hehehe.
The crew arrived on Merry and found the duck Carue became an ice statue, so Vivi freaked out. They take it out and pour hot water to melt the ice, then give it a towel. The crew laugh at the duck but it start kwek-ing and Chopper translate it. Apparently it tried to save Zoro when he swim and didn't come out for a long time, so Nami hit & scold him. But Vivi, the owner doesn't mad or anything, she's more curious that Chopper can talk with animal, what a strange owner. Then sometime later they party again to celebrate their new crew, oh man. Jon is curious where they got the money to party from? They don't seem to have treasures, and Nami will not give them money to waste because she is the one that keep all the money.
Luffy call Usopp, Chopper and Jon to play something. Luffy & Usopp take two chopstick each and put it in their nostril and mouth then dancing strangely, they ask Chopper and Jon to do it too. Jon of course refuse, it's dirty to put chopstick to your nostril. But Chopper being curious and obedient try to imitate them. Jon want to play something and relaxing too, so he take out some piece of wood and a carving knife. He need to relax a bit in the middle of his training in the forest and one of his hobby is carving wood. In the past, he often watch his grandpa carpentering and he saw some unused little wood block so he take it. At first, he just want to imitate what his grandpa do, but it became a carving hobby.
He start to carve while thinking about his fight earlier. He wasted lots of movements in that fight because he can't land some hits. He also use some big movement too much. He keep thinking using big move to end it fast but his opponent can avoid a lot of it. His big movements make him lose his stamina at fast rate. He start using small moves but he don't train much in it. He's too focused training cool moves from the anime, thinking that's all he need but he's wrong. He also realised that he can't use feint move and always fell for it. He can't differentiate feint and real attacks because they look same. He's faster and stronger than his opponent but his opponent could read his moves and counter them.
'Hmm, what should i do? All taijutsu technique that i buy from system is good and i feel comfortable using it too. So why can't i fight properly with taijutsu? Hmm, wait, when he switch his moves, his change process look so natural. It's like his moves can connect with each other no matter what he use next. Hmm, why is it?'-Jono pondered for sometime, then he realised it.
'IT'S MY BASIC STYLE, OMG. Yes, my basic style is academy taijutsu, it's for kids playing ninja for fucks sake. Of course i can't connect my high-rank moves using low-rank style. Academy taijutsu is just an introduction, it's not the actual style to use when you get stronger. That's why genin need jonin teacher to teach them to upgrade their taijutsu and style that suit them, except clan people that have their own style. Rock Lee and Gai can use those moves because their basic style is Strong Fist, Hyuga clan use their Gentle Fist, the Inuzuka use their beast moves, and Uchiha....did they have basic style? I don't remember, well watever.'-Jono
He is happy that he realised his mistake, but oh man, he feel like he waste those two years. If he jusy buy a good basic style like Strong Fist or Gentle Fist, he will be proficient enough to use it now. He now think that maybe this is what happen to Naruto. He doesn't even have a good basic style from academy because the teachers didn't teach him properly. That's why even with hundreds of shadow clone he can't win easily against one man. But when he learn Frog Kata, even Pain is not his opponent. Jon don't understand why Kakashi didn't teach Naruto taijutsu. Maybe he want to teach him but got pranked instead, so he became upset? He even didn't correcting Sakura's stupidity, yare-yare daze. If Kakashi can do it, just imagine how strong her Fist would be because she train earlier.
'I need to choose my style properly. Some people create their own style, but i'm not a genius fighter and trained since childhood like them. Wait, now that i think about it, the Uchihas must be using their sharingan to adapt and create their own style. But even tough i have sharingan, it's just two years since i train, even i only battle other people some days ago. So i will search for suitable fighting style that already exist. I'll check the shop later to find if there's a style that suit my preference. I hope there're some Uchihas fighting style, because it's already compatible with sharingan so i just need to train it.'-Jono
Just while he finished pondering about all of that thing, he finished his carving. He put the knife and look at the product of his hand moves. It's a 3D carving picture of the Strawhats camping in a forest. In the carving is a picture of Luffy eating a meat while holding another one, Zoro drink a bottle of booze, Usopp holding a paper megaphone while putting one of his leg on top of a wood log, Sanji cook a big meat with the fire camp, Nami drink an orange juice, Vivi sit beside Nami while eating some grilled fish, Chopper dancing and talking with Carue, and Jon is reading some scrolls. He's satisfied with his work, then he put it down and realised that the others are surrounding him.
"Heeh, you're good."-Sanji
"Hmm, i can make better."-Zoro
"As if you can."-Nami
"Meats."-well you know who
"My pose look good."-Usopp
"You look cute Tony-kun."-Vivi
"C-cute. EVEN IF YOu praise me, it will not make me happy, YOU IDiot."-Chopper said while dancing happily.
"Kwekk."-well, who else?
"He said 'I look awesome too' "-Chopper
"Since when are you watching?"-Jon
"Since the beginning, but we just come here while you put down the knife"-Nami
"Yosh, let's hang it inside."-Luffy said while taking the carving and run inside.
"Wait Luffy! I want to paint it."-Jon said that but Luffy's already gone.
"Well, just paint it later."-Zoro
"Sigh, alright then. Did the party finished already?"-Jon said while raising his left eyebrow.
The other smirk and they continue their party until morning.
