31. Spear Training
Then he showed him all of them in action along with the Elven Martial Arts movements.
Dust rotated around Jeff's spear and followed all his attacks. It was like a natural extension to the spear.
He had an affinity for Earth and was quite good with it as well.
He could use the earth to perform a multitude of attacks in whatever that he wanted it to.
King looked at the spear technique intently and burned it into his memory quickly with the divinity of Spears helping him.
"Now please try your Highness". Jeff stood aside and motioned for King to do it as well.
King nodded his head and took a boar spear about his size from the rack.
He started to follow Jeff's movements recorded in his mind and his jerky movements started to smoothen out quickly.
His movements turned much better than a starter and were at the level of what a beginner with about a month's experience could do.
"Wonderful your highness, you are catching on quickly". Jeff nodded with a smile and looked at Alex appreciatively.
It feels good to teach a person that catches on quickly and you don't have to spend much time arguing on a single point.
"Widen your stance a bit more and put more power in your thrusts". Jeff commented and assisted him in taking out some mistakes from his movements.
"Your Highness, you will have to practice this everyday and you will have to meditate with a spear on your lap as well.
This will allow you to connect well with your spear and also allow you to think about what you can do more to improve your own weapon arts". Jeff commented after he ended the training session.
Another thing was added to King's schedule. He already has his hands full with physical training and now he will have to get on this as well.
'Maybe, I won't even have the time to play with my friends in the future'. King groaned in his mind and sighed regretfully.
Then he prepared to do the rest of the routine for today and finally got free around late afternoon barely.
He had to speed through all of it today to get the time to play with his friends as well.
Meanwhile, in the Death domain.
"He's been burdened hasn't he?" Death looked at Yggdrasil and spoke with concern.
"Yeah". Yggdrasil nodded with remorse on her face.
They never intended for King to feel burdened about getting stronger as quickly as he can.
He still had a few millennia to get stronger but he was just pressuring himself now.
They want him to at least enjoy his childhood and make some good memories because the coming days won't be peacefully for him or for anyone close to him.
The work towards Ragnarok was already starting and there was no stopping it now.
Only King can stop it and he is their hope but he still has a lot of time for that. At least now he can enjoy what can be precious in the future.
"Do you think we should talk to him?" Death asked worriedly and kept looking at King's picture in front of her.
They would occasionally look at how he's doing by watching him for some time of the day but they are just not able to contact him spontaneously.
"I think we should". Yggdrasil also nodded and agreed.
"I will try to do it now". Yggdrasil said and closed her eyes.
On the other side, King suddenly felt that a connection was established with his mind.
"Hey". King tried to speak to get a reply but there was no sound for a while.
"King". A sweet voice rang in his mind and King suddenly felt refreshed.
"Yggdrasil". King replied back with an affectionate smile.
"How have you been love?" Yggdrasil asked with a very loving voice.
"I have been good". King nodded his head and felt his mood improve and the tiredness was swept away.
"King". Yggdrasil called with a bit of guilty and solemn voice.
"What is it?" King asked back softly.
"Why are you forcing yourself?" She asked with remorse.
"I am not forcing myself. I am doing what I want to do. So you don't have to be guilty about it". King said with a reassuring and refreshing smile that conveyed what he was thinking.
"I see". Yggdrasil replied in a lighter tone like she had a huge load lifted off her.
"That's good. I don't want you to be this forceful behind your approach. You have plenty of time and knowledge to grow". Yggdrasil said seriously.
"No need for that. I know what I'm doing". King waved his hand and stopped talking about this topic.
"Okay". Yggdrasil nodded and didn't continue the topic either.
"Just make sure to enjoy your childhood dear. You will appreciate it". She didn't forget to say one last time before completely closing the topic.
"Thanks and I will". King nodded and didn't deny her request either.
Then they continued to talk about some things during these past ten years and even Death chimed in the middle of it.
King forgot about playing with his friends and just continued to talk with them in his mind all day about every kind of thing that he could think of.
Elaine saw him muttering to himself once and even wanted to call Aelsa that he was acting weird but he stopped her before she could do it.
Then they chatted all the way to midnight before King fell asleep after bidding them farewell.
He was in a pleasant mood from the conversation and felt totally refreshed.
His day was good today and has been very productive in every way.
His illusions have been coming along nicely. He awakened all his divinities, he learned the spear arts and he got to talk to his two lovers.
He feels happy and fulfilled in his mind. Nothing can be better than today but maybe getting to know all the people around him was better than talking today.
