38. Enchanted Forest 2
'Sorry but I doing this for your own future'. Aelsa sighed and looked at the portal closing with complicated eyes.
She will not let her children die there of course but she just have to put up a facade and she had been meaning to send King into that forest for experience anyway.
This will kill two birds with one stone and also allow King to gain some experience away from home and in a difficult environment.
He will need this experience and much more than this for what is to come in the near future. Aelsa sighed one more time and left the throne room.
The ministers kept quiet and didn't dare to interrupt her leave from the throne room like this. They just quietly stayed and discussed among themselves.
Aelsa got to her quarters and sighed while looking up at the ceiling of the room in melancholy.
'The responsibilities of a monarch are truly heavy'. She could only sigh again after thinking of this.
These two years are truly necessary for the two children to grow stronger and gain some necessary experience in survival.
It is never certain when something would happen and their on the maids has also been getting on Aelsa's mind.
King and Elaine on the other hand arrived in the middle of the Enchanted forest with trees and moss everywhere they could look.
King immediately turned vigilant and turned Chastiefol into itself spear form for any unforeseen circumstances.
There was a low growl already resounding behind them and King turned tense even more but the next moment surprised him.
"Woof". A very familiar voice sounded and a black blur jumped on King's body.
"Buddy, what are you doing here?" King tubbed Lopt's head affectionately and vigorously in surprise.
"Hey Lopt". Elaine also came forward and rubbed Lopt's head lightly with affection.
Lopt has stayed with them for 17 years now and their affection for this guy is no less than siblings themselves.
"Growl". Lopt faced a direction and growled angrily then without wasting time. He took both Elaine and King and entered the mirror dimension.
Lopt can travel anywhere and travelling to the mirror dimension is only a insignificant matter to it and nothing complicated.
King and Elaine were a little unprepared and looked towards their original spot and saw a snake that was at least hundreds of meters long from what they could see.
It had green scales that blended seamlessly with the surroundings and there was no indication of it when it travelled.
The snake looked up and hissed in annoyance at its prey running away and went away after some while. It started to look for another prey.
"My god". Elaine covered her mouth in surprise and her soul nearly left her body when she saw the giant snake.
It could very well kill them easily if they are not aware of its approach but they don't know that there are Dark Guards protecting them all the time still.
If they are in a danger of Life and Death then they will take a shot and will not let the two of them be killed here.
"Don't worry, I am here". King spoked to her reassuringly and patted her head to calm her down.
King was also very solemn in his heart because he finally had a little knowledge of the horrors of Enchanted forest that he read about before.
'But this is also food'. He thought and looked at his trusted partners Lopt and Chastiefol.
"Let's go and build a shelter in this dimension first". King said and strode out of the mirror dimension with Lopt. He at least knew that someone must be following them here to report their affairs to Aelsa at all times.
So he couldn't really stay in Mirror dimension like this or it would beat the meaning of punishment and gaining the experience that they very much needed.
"Elaine, try you Nature divinity and find a place close to a source of water with a small clearing". King turned to look at Elaine and ordered.
Elaine nodded her head and closed her eyes to channel her divinity and communicate with the surrounding Flora.
Soon, she opened her eyes and looked at King with a triumphant smile on her face. "I found it". She said arrogantly with her head high up.
"Good job, now lead the way. Lopt keep aware of the surroundings and inform us as soon as possible". King ordered and all of them started walking towards the desired location.
King was also channeling his elemental divinity to sense movement in the surroundings with the wind. His consumption could sustain it for a good eight to ten hours. So there wasn't much problem there.
They soon arrived at their destination with Lopt perception and King's power helping to avoid dangers.
They had to go into Mirror dimension a couple times to avoid some really dangerous monsters in the way.
There is no other choice. They are weak and can only avoid the monsters that they cannot hope to defeat with all their strength.
These monsters are strong to enough to kill minor Gods at their full power. King and Elaine don't even have the fraction of that power yet.
There are some monsters that are not even afraid of major Gods like Ivory and Ayelah. So King doesn't want to take any chances.
After getting to the campsite. First things that King did was to lay down an Illusion in the surrounding small area to mask their traces.
"Elaine, use your divinity and build us a shelter in that tree". King pointed to a sturdy big tree that was a bit more bigger than the ones in the surroundings.
Elaine nodded her head and used all her power to try and construct the tree's insides into a desirable house for them to live in.
"Sate sate sate". King went ahead and caught Elaine in his arms when she exhausted her strength.
"Thanks for your hard work". He kissed her on the forehead and Elaine closed her eyes to sleep in exhaustion.
