In Marvel with King’s Powers(Nanatsu no Taizai)

0"Sob, Sob". Elaine was sitting in the Castle garden and crying to herself.     0

She was sitting under a tree and rubbing her eyes with her hands. Her eyes were red and puffed up because of her crying.     

King had missed her along the way because Elaine had ran away quickly.     

And it didn't help that King had gotten off from Chastiefol and even forgot to sit back on it to follow Elaine in his panic.     

Diane was also trotting behind King with her small legs and had skirt raised with her hands to make it easier to run.     

King looked around for a while and finally came to the Royal Garden and saw Elaine sitting below the tree and sobbing while rubbing her eyes.     

"Elaine". King called loudly and quickly approached her.     

"Why are you here? Go to the maid that you like so much". Elaine sobbed and said with an angry voice.     

"That's not good. You are the best sister in the world and I love you the most. How can I leave you like this?" King came close to her and hugged her with his small arms to appease her and said to her with a bright smile.     

"Really?" Elaine said in a low voice and kept her head in King's arms.     

Although she was still sad but there was a small smile on her face when she heard King's words.     

"Look, don't be angry with her. She is our new friend and we should all get along". He said while the iron was hot to make Elaine less stubborn about it.     

"Hmph". Elaine snorted a bit but her reaction was much softer this time.     

Probably after crying, she felt much better and not as discontent about it as before.     

"Okay but only I get to sleep with you and hug you except mom". Elaine nodded but put down her demands. She didn't forget to add Aelsa in the equation though.     

King didn't answer immediately. He never lies and doesn't want to either. He hates it when people lie to him.     

"I don't know". He answered perfunctorily to leave a way out for himself.     

He didn't want to trap himself with a promise that he might not be able to fulfil with the power of his body and his goal to become stronger after getting his previous memories.     

He already had two brides and might have more in the future. It was imperative as the crown prince of Alfheim that he might have multiple wives.     

So don't promise what you can't keep from the very start.     

Elaine pursed her mouth and was about to start arguing with him again when she remembered something.     

Aelsa had told her that King's situation is a bit special and she can't really force him to do things like this or King might disappear someday.     

Elaine was really frightened at that time and it still left a shadow in her heart.     

She didn't want to lose her brother. She can't hug him enough. How can she allow him to be separated from her?     

So she kept quiet while putting her small head in King's arms with a pouting expression on her face but she didn't argue anymore.     

"Your Highness". Diane called out timidly from behind when she saw that they had resolved the case.     

"It's alright, don't worry". King smiled back at her brightly and dispelled her worries.     

Then he looked down and saw that Elaine was somehow asleep in his arms. He looked a bit puzzled by this.     

'Huh, how did she fall asleep suddenly?' King wondered and motioned chastiefol with his mind.     

Chastiefol quickly came up and tried to put Elaine on itself but her hold on King was very tight.     

"Let's carry her back to the room". King smiled and sat down on Chastiefol with Elaine and motioned for Diane to get up as well.     

Diane hesitated for a while but then gathered her courage and got up on the cushion as well.     

Alex immediately took off straight to his room to put Elaine to bed and let her sleep before he would also do his own things.     

"I'll bring over some tea". Diane immediately ran out as soon as she was finally back on the ground.     

King didn't even have the time to stop her before she ran off to get tea for him.     

So he just shrugged his shoulders and waited on a chair for her.     

In about five minutes, Diane was back with tea and was carrying a tray clumsily in her hand.     

She was trotting over quickly towards King and awkwardly balancing the tray on her hand.     

Suddenly, she tripped and threw the tray straight towards the floor.     

Chastiefol swooped down and caught the tray without spilling a drop.     

"Good job". King cheered happily when he saw Chastiefol come in for the save like this.     

"I am sorry, Your Highness". Diane bowed and hurriedly apologise.     

"It's fine, don't worry". King quickly forgave her and continued to look at Chastiefol bringing the tea in front pf him.     

Diane stepped forward and helped King pour a cup of tea like she has practices this multiple times.     

"Thank you". King took the cup and sipped the tea. It left a refreshing taste in his mouth and was really delicious.     

"Did you put sugar in it?" King asked while looking at the tea in the cup.     

"Yes, Your highness". Diane nodded quickly and answered.     

"It tastes good, good job". King praised happily and continued to drink the tea.     

"Thank you". Diane smiled brightly when King praised her.     

Her worries lessened a bit after hearing King's words of praise.     

She was picked up from the streets by the grace of her Majesty and was able to wear nice clothes and have her stomach filled every day.     

The past year has been the happiest year of her life even though the Maid training was a bit hard but she still persisted.     

Now her efforts are paying off and she couldn't be happier.     

She felt that it was the best that she was able to become a maid in the Royal Palace and was able to serve the Crown Prince himself.     

She will be able to eat a lot of tasty foods in the future and wear even nicer clothes. Plus she has a roof on her head and the safety of the castle.
