She Belongs To The Devil

Apologizing

Apologizing

1Ariel and Damien also wasted no time in following Kenneth. They couldn't bring themselves to sit around and wait for Kenneth to come back with the news while the others were most probably stuck in some dangerous situation.      2

Kenneth went to the first place that he could think of, the one he thought would give him the answers.

He went to find his father's advisor. However, the advisor wasn't in his workroom.

He then went to his father's study next. When he saw a lot of guards outside the study, he was certain that that was where everyone was at the moment.

The guards were confused when suddenly, gusts of winds blew past them and the door to the King's study was wide open.

"Your Majesty!" one of the guards rushed in to see if it was some enemy that had entered the room. He was relieved to see the Crown Prince standing alive and well in front of the King. So he walked outside and shut the door behind him.

Ariel and Damien looked around the King's study to see if they could find their lost friends somewhere in the room. However, they didn't see their friends there.

At the same time, King Walter got up from his chair and rushed to embrace his son. "Ken, are you alright? The guards told me that you looked all grey just a while ago." The King sounded as if he had just seen his son coming back from the dead.

Kenneth was a little surprised by that sudden display of affection from his father. He looked at the worried look on his father's face. And he calmed his father down, "Father, there's nothing to worry about. I am fine now; Ariel healed me… and Damien."

And before the King could question him any further about all the details, Kenneth asked his father, "Where are the remaining guests? You didn't… do anything to them, right?"

The King recalled how angry he was when he heard the horrifying news from the guard.

And in his anger, he was thinking of imprisoning those guests who were still here in the castle until Ariel brought his son back, alive. He had even thought of all sorts of punishments to give to those Royals if his son never came back to him.

But thankfully, his advisor asked him to reconsider his decision, citing that they couldn't afford to be an enemy of Wyverndale.

The King silently thanked his advisor for that piece of advice, and then he answered his son, "The guests are in the meeting room with your mother. Why don't we all go there? Your mother is worried sick."

"Sure, let's do that," Kenneth immediately agreed when he heard that his mother had also heard the news about him getting hurt.

The King walked ahead with Kenneth by his side. Ariel and Damien followed them. And when they were out of the study, the guards also followed after all the Royals.

While on their way to the meeting room, the King reconfirmed what he had already heard from Ramon earlier, "I heard that you were having a duel with Lord Damien. And that both of you fell unconscious after that."

Kenneth nodded his head and also took all the blame so that his father wouldn't take any bad decisions, "I had heard that Damien was way too stronger than me. And I got a little too eager to win the duel, I guess. I tried to hurt him first. Damien was just trying to defend himself."

Damien slightly raised his brows while staring at Kenneth's back. And he thought to himself, "At least he knows that he did me wrong."

King Walter went silent after hearing what his son had said. He kept on wondering if his son was on the equal level as the demon from Hell or if his son had managed to knock that demon unconscious out of pure luck.

When they all reached the meeting room, there was a sudden uproar.

Queen Florence flung her arms around her son and immediately began to shed tears of relief and joy.

Zach instantly ran to hug Damien. And Ramon also waited for his turn to welcome Damien back while Niylah went and hugged Ariel.

"Ken, I heard that you were poisoned and you fell unconscious. I was so worried," the Queen whispered as she caressed her son's golden hair.

Kenneth consoled his mother, "Ariel took me to a magical place and took the poison out of me."

The Queen then went and gratefully hugged Ariel as well. "I'm so thankful towards you, Princess. If anything had happened to my son then I wouldn't have been able to live."

Ariel gave a subtle smile to the kind Queen and said, "Your son is a strong man. He held out as long as he could and gave me enough time to heal him."

Likewise, Kenneth also explained everything in detail about everything that happened in the duel, where Ariel took them, how they met the monarchs of Wyverndale, and all.

When it was made clear to everyone that the boys were fine, and that Ariel had actually saved them, King Walter guiltily looked at the guests.

He had almost punished the twins and Zach without knowing the truth, so first, he apologized to them. "I am extremely ashamed for doubting you all and raising my voice earlier. Please forgive me for my impoliteness."

Ramon, Niylah, and Zach were sweating and thinking that they were done for when the King started to demand that they bring his son back. Ramon had a really hard time trying to speak and make the King understand the situation. The King only calmed down after his advisor talked to him and left the task of consoling the wailing Queen to them.

In his heart, Ramon was screaming that the King was more scary than impolite. But now that everything had been cleared, he accepted the King's apology in a polite way, "We totally understand that you were worried for your son. He is the Crown Prince and your only son after all."
