CEO He : Please Don't Love Me

She felt that her body was very weak, however, she composed herself when she saw Chi Rong sitting on the chair near the bed.      

"You woke up? Qianru, how do you feel now?"     

Chi Rong asked immediately when he saw that she was awake.      

Lin Qianru frowned and whispered      

"I am good, Mr. Chi."     

Her voice was slightly hoarse when she spoke and she herself was startled by that.      

"What happened to me?"     

She couldn't help but ask.      

"You had a fever."     

Chi Rong said as he filled the glass of water for her. The water was hot and just brought by Butler.      

He wanted to help Lin Qianru in sitting on the bed but she did it herself. So he only passed the glass to her and informed her after she had drank it.      

"You had been sleeping for the entire afternoon."     

"Entire afternoon?"     

Lin Qianru couldn't believe Chi Rong when she heard this. However, when her eyes suddenly went to the window and she had a glimpse of the sky, her eyes went wide and she immediately wanted to get down from the bed.      

"It is almost night. Roulan must be worried for me."     

That was the first thought that came to her mind.      

Chi Rong felt helpless when he saw her like this. He held her arm to stop her from moving and said firmly      

"You are still weak. Don't move around. What do you want? Let me bring it to you."     

At this moment, Lin Qianru just wanted to somehow contact Mo Roulan and tell her daughter that everything was alright so she said to Chi Rong     

"My phone. I need my phone. It should be in my purse which is in the kitchen."     

Chi Rong nodded his head and went to bring her phone for her.      

It was only when he left did she realise that it didn't seem to be appropriate for him to bring her phone like this, He was after all her employer.      

However, now she couldn't ponder on it any longer.      

Chi Rong came back soon with the purse and Lin Qianru immediately called Mo Roulan. Sure enough, Mo Roulan picked the call at the first ring.      

"Mom, where are you? It is so late."     

Mo Roulan asked as soon as the call connected.      

Li Qianru immediately felt guilty for making her daughter worry so much and said hurriedly.     

"Roulan, Mom is fine. I am just coming in some time. Don't worry. Is Chenchen with you? Tell him that Mom is coming. Both of you must stay in the house and not come out to look for me."     

Lin Qianru talked for almost five minutes. She was worried that her daughter would come out to look for her. It was night and she must be tired after returning from the office.      

She felt relieved when He Jian took the phone from Mo Roulan and assured her that he was there to take care of Mo Roulan and Mo Chen.      

Knowing that He Jian was there, Lin Qianru finally hung up and wanted to leave immediately.      

Chi Rong saw her in so much hurry and frowned deeply. However, he knew that he couldn't force her to stay so he said      

"Slow down. I will drop you back. We will reach soon. But you should not hurry so much and put so much stress on your mind and body."     

Lin Qianru slowed down when she heard this.      

She didn't want to bother Chi Rong but at this moment, she didn't want to refuse his help. Hearing Mo Roulan's voice, she was sure that her daughter was very worried.      

Since Chi Rong dropped her in the car, she reached the apartment in almost half an hour.      

"Thank you very much, Mr. Chi. I bothered you a lot today."     

Li Qianru said to Chi Rong sincerely when they were outside the building.      

"No Bother"     

Chi Rong said calmly. He looked at her face which was still calm and opened his mouth to say something.      

'Were you reports fine that day?'     

Chi Rong had wanted to ask but in the end, he suddenly changed his words and asked      

"Have something after going back."     

She didn't have anything for a long time.      

Lin Qianru nodded her head and thanked him again before leaving the car. As she walked inside the building, Chi Rong looked at his back with a calm face.      

He needed to take her to the hospital again and make sure that she was completely alright.

When Mo Roulan saw her mother, she was relieved. However, seeing her pale face, she realised that not everything was alright.      

She immediately touched her mother's face and realised that the temperature was slightly higher than hers.      

"Mom, do you have fever?"     

Lin Qianru smiled helplessly and said      

"It is light. It will be alright after having some rest."     

Mo Roulan frowned and said      

"Go to your room, Mom. I will make something light and will come there with the meal."     

Lin Qianru knew that her daughter would not listen to her in such times so she didn't deny what she said.      

She thanked He Jian for being there who merely smiled and asked her to take care of herself.      

Lin Qianru finally went to her room to rest.      

As soon as she was inside, she closed the door and took the medicine the doctor had written to her before.      

After she finished taking the medicine, she hid it inside the almirah and lay down on the bed.      

Staring at the ceiling, Lin Qianru smiled helplessly as a tear slid down her eyes.      

She was finally feeling how close she was to the death.      

Today, she didn't even get to know when she lost her consciousness.      

Surprisingly she felt fear this time unlike how she not afraid at all when she had been on the verge of death five years ago.      

The fear was regarding her children.      

Would they be able to manage themselves when she would no longer be there?     

Five years ago she had given up completely. She could see that even alive she was not able to give any good life to her children.      

But now everything was going well.      

She could finally see a bright future for her children.      

Unfortunately, life would not allow her to witness it. She could only wait for her death with this constant fear.
