Everyone tried to look calm and composed except Mo Roulan who felt slightly uncomfortable. Shen Youlin had told her that she had been brought back by He Jian.
And the worst thing was she couldn't remember anything from yesternight.
Mo Roulan just wished that she had gone unconscious right after He Jian saw her. And if she didn't then she was just silent in front of him.
Her discomfort went away slowly when she saw that He Jian looked calm just like any other day.
It meant that everything was right.
They had a very silent breakfast. After they had finished, Mo Roulan helped her mother in cleaning the table. Inside the kitchen when she was about to leave, she hugged her mother from behind and kissed her cheek as she said
"Mom, I am really sorry. I will be careful in the future."

However, she had to hide all her concerns in front of Mo Roulan and had to nod her head. She even kissed her daughter's hand lovingly.
If only she could do something to make both of her children safe and secure for their whole lifetime.
Mo Roulan smiled in relief when she saw that her mother was no longer angry.
"I am leaving now."
Lin Qianru nodded her head again and followed her daughter out of the kitchen.
On the other hand, Mo Roulan stared at the scene in the living room with a parted mouth.
Mo Chen was standing beside He Jian, with his school bag hanging on his shoulder and his hand was on He Jian's sleeve.
It took Mo Roulan a lot of time in digesting the scene in front of her eyes.
Only when she carefully looked at He Jian, did she see how stiff he looked. Mo Roulan didn't know why she felt amused but she had to put a great effort in order to keep her lips pressed in a thin line.
However, Mo Roulan's amusement vanished when she heard Mo Chen's words
"Jiejie, let's go. Brother Jian will get late because of you. Right, Brother Jian?"
Mo Chen looked at He Jian with his big black wide eyes.
He Jian felt very awkward and stiff. He never had any experience with children. Mo Chen behaving so intimately with him made him feel a little awkward.
However, whatever he was doing what He Jian wanted. Since he couldn't say it directly, he could only let Mo Chen do his part.
So he nodded his head and said
"Right"
Mo Roulan blinked and was suddenly nudged by her mother.
"Roulan, go and get your purse. Why are you standing so stupidly?"
Lin Qianru said in disapproval.
Mo Roulan sighed and then went to her room to get her purse. Shen Youlin who was seeing all this from a few steps away immediately followed her.
"Roulan…are you really going with him? Does Cheng Yang not drop you at the office?"
Mo Roulan who was picking up her purse suddenly stopped when she heard Cheng Yang's name.
It took her a moment in getting normal and she answered Shen Youlin stiffly
"No, he doesn't."
After a moment of pause, she continued
"We broke up."
"What?"
Shen Youlin almost shouted and Mo Roulan swiftly turned around to look at her with wide eyes. She looked towards the door and then at Shen Youlin again.
"Youlin…"
Shen Youlin smiled sheepishly realizing that she should not have shouted. However, who could blame her!
She immediately stepped forward and held Mo Roulan's hands.
"You broke up with that boy. Why did you not tell me? What happened? Did he do something?"
By the end of her questions, Shen Youlin's voice got colder. Mo Roulan immediately shook her head and said
"No. We parted on good terms. We just …realized that it won't work out."
Mo Roulan carefully replaced 'I' with 'we'. She didn't want anyone to think that it was she who dumped Cheng Yang because she knew that all the faulty was hers.
Shen Youlin was happy. Very happy.
Did it not mean that Mo Roulan didn't like Cheng Yang? However, she hid her thoughts very well. It was more important to make sure that Mo Roulan won't be around He Jian much because it could provoke Shen Yiling.
"Then you are really going with He Jian?"
Mo Roulan shrugged her shoulders and whispered
"I would have to. I guess."
Shen Youlin frowned when she saw that Mo Roulan was ready to leave and she said
"Why don't I drop you?"
"No, Mom will feel suspicious if I said suddenly that I wanted to go with you. And you should study."
Shen Youlin couldn't find any response to Mo Roulan's response.
She could only watch as Mo Roulan left.
She suddenly didn't know whether it was good that Mo Roulan broke up with Cheng Yang or bad.
At least when she was with Cheng Yang, He Jian stayed far away from her, and hence Shen Yiling calmed down.
However, now…
Shen Youlin knew that she needs to do something quickly …before Shen Yiling gets to know about this.
But what could she do?
On the other hand, Mo Roulan sat inside He Jian's car.
The car started and left the building premises.
They reached Mo Chen's school quite soon. Mo Roulan didn't pay much attention to the fact that the driver was driving somewhat fast today.
However, she could no longer ignore it when after dropping Mo Chen, she saw that the car was not going to the office.
They were going somewhere else.
Immediately, she looked at He Jian and asked
"Mr. He, where are we going? Do you have some business work here?"
He Jian also turned to look at Mo Roulan when he heard her questions.
The car stopped at the same time and he spoke
"No business. We need to have a long talk, Lanlan."
