CEO He : Please Don't Love Me

Lin Qianru looked at her daughter with confusion. She seemed as if she couldn't believe her ears. In her eyes, her daughter was very intelligent.      

After her surgery, Lin Qianru remembered very well that her daughter had topped in every class. She had topped College Entrance exam as well.      

So how was it possible that she couldn't understand anything from Mo Chen's book who was not even in high school yet.      

"Roulan…"     

Lin Qianru stared at Mo Roulan's red face and suddenly had a very disappointed expression on her face.     

Mo Roulan opened and closed her mouth to say something when she saw this but she didn't know what she should say.      

The book that Mo Chen gave to her was of physics and it seemes to be for higher class students. She had chosen arts because she had wanted to go to fashion designing course.     

And hence she couldn't understand anything.      

Mo Chen and He Jian saw this exchange silently.      

Mo Chen looked at He Jian unconsciously. He just knew that He Jian will manage everything and sure enough he did.      

"Auntie, Mo Chen is very intelligent."     

He Jian said and Lin Qianru tried to maintain a calm face and looked at him with a forced smile. She felt bad that her daughter could not help her younger brother in studies.      

Was it because her children and mostly Mo Roulan had finished a large part of her studies in town? But then how did she topped the college entrance exam.      

That had been the only reason that she didn't send her son to any tuitions. She stopped sedning Mo Chen to tuitions just a few months ago thinking that her daughter could easily help him in his studies and Mo Chen was himself not that bad.      

However, now Lin Qiantu doubted her decision.      

She came out of her tranec when He Jian spoke again.          

Taking the book for Mo Roulan's hands, he showed it to Lin Qianru and said      

"Look at the book, Auntie. It is for higher studies. And Mo Roulan had not studied this level of physics. It is normal for her not to understand all this. "     

Lin Qianru could easily read the cover of the book and she was surprised. A big sigh of relief escaped her lips as she nodded her head but then she suddenly looked at her son and asked him     

"Then Mo Chen, why are you reading it? You won't understand anything so why are you wasting Jian's time."     

Mo Chen shook his head and looked at his sister as if asking whether he should tell the truth to his mother or not. Mo Roulan also looked conflicted.      

She actually didn't knwo how her mother will react.      

If she expressed happiness then it would be fine but if she also got worried like her and thought of taking Mo Chen to some kind of doctor, then Mo Roulan was afraid that Mo Chen will be hurt by her behavior.      

That's why she had been thinking of talking about this matter with her mother alone.      

However, now….     

"Auntie, did I not say just now that Mo Chen is very intelligent? He can understand this book."     

He Jian said very calmly and Mo Roulan and Mo Chen looked at him with wide eyes. How could he reveal something like this so calmly!        

Lin Qianru frowned and then smiled as she said      

"No, Jian. How can Chenchen understands such a difficult book at this age. He must have said something to make you believe that."     

Lin Qianru looked at her son with narrowed eyes.      

"Give me the book, Jian."     

He Jian placed the book in her hands and Lin Qianru gave it to Mo Chen.      

"Go and study what you actually need to study."     

She said strictly and Mo Chen silently went to his room with his book.      

Mo Roulan sighed in relief and seeing this, He Jian also didn't say anything.      

"I will leave now, Auntie. Thanks for the dinner"     

He Jian said politely and Lin Qianru immediately said      

"When did you start thanking me for these things, Jian? This is your home. You can come and ask me to cook whenever you want to."     

He Jian thanked Lin Qianru again and both of them walked to the door. Before leaving the living room, his eye surely went to Mo Roulan who didn't stand up from the sofa at all and now had her back facing him.      

His lips were pressed in a thin line but he didn't say anything and quietly left the Mo Family's apartment.      

Mo Roulan sighed in relief when her mother came back after closing the door.      

"Go to sleep, Roulan. You must be tired."     

Lin Qianru said to her daughter. Mo Roulan nodded her head as she stood up from the sofa to leave. However, she had taken just a step when she heard her mother calling her again.     

"Also talk to Chenchen. Where is he bringing those books from? It is better to buy something that will actually help him instead of buying what he can't even understand."     

Mo Roulan licked her lips and turned around to look at her mother.     

"Alright, Mom. I will talk to Chenchen."     

Lin Qianru nodded her head and finally went to her room.        

Mo Roulan went to her room and just like yesterday, she found Shen Youlin already asleep.      

Mo Roulan frowned but then thought that Shen Youlin must be tired after studying for the whole day. It was weird that Shen Youlin had been in her apartment for two days but they have not shared even five sentences yet.      

But then Mo Roulan didn't wish to disturb Shen Youlin's studies as well…epsecially when she was so devoted and hard working now.      

She sighed and silently laid down on her side of the bed.      

On the other hand after she heard Mo Roulan's soft breathing, Shen Youlin opened her eyes. She carefully picked her phone from the bedside table and typed something.     

'He left.'      

'But why did he even come? Had he not stopped coming?'     

A reply came instantly.      

Shen Youlin sighed in frustration and typed      

'I don't know.'     

'Then find out if you don't want something bad to happen.'     

Shen Youlin closed her eyes when she read the message. She replied with 'alright' and afterwards switched off the phone and put it on the bedside.      

It took her a long time to find sleep that night.
