Regardless of how curious he was to look towards the back seat through the mirror, he didn't dare to move his sight away from the road.
However, Chu Feng didn't have any such restrictions on himself. Even though he was afraid couldn't stop himself from looking toward the back seat.
He looked at his boss who was silently looking at the screen of the phone in his hands and then at Mo Chen who was seated beside him looking out of the car's window all this while.
One thing Chu Feng didn't understand was why his boss suddenly wanted to drop Mo Chen to school today.
In the past few days, they have not been picking up Mo Roulan and then dropping her at the building. In fact, he had somewhat guessed the reason behind it thinking that Mo Roulan was dating Cheng Yang and his boss had already lost the chance.
Chu Feng had felt very distressed for his boss as the latter had been tiring himself in one or other work in the past few days. His boss didn't even call the therapist who would hypnotize him to go to sleep on at least once a week as he couldn't sleep because of his disease insomnia.
Chu Feng was worried but could understand him. It was after all the first time he had liked the opposite gender. However, he thought that it should be easy for his boss to move on providing that he had so many girls ready to date him at any cost.
He just needed some time. So these days, he didn't dare to bring Mo Roulan's name in front of him unless it was something very very important.
And he thought it was working until his boss suddenly asked the driver to stop the car and then stepped out himself to offer Mo Chen that he could drop him at the school.
Chu Feng sighed.
As long as his boss was connected to Mo Roulan and her family in one or in another way, he would not be able to move on. That's what he thought.
Chu Feng came out of his thoughts when he felt suddenly very cold on his back. The next moment, he swallowed when he saw a pair of blue eyes was looking at him back sharply and coldly as he looked at them through the rear view mirror.
A shiver ran down his spine and he immediately moved his eyes away as he stretched his hand out to press the button for the partition trying not to tremble all this while.
After the partition was separating the front and back seat, he finally sighed in relief and cursed himself for showing so much courage just a few seconds ago.

On the other hand, He Jian who had been sitting silently and looking at the emails on her phone all this while finally looked at Mo Chen and asked
"How is everything at school?"
His voice was still cold, calm, and collected. He didn't seem to be talking to a child but to an adult.
Mo Chen immediately turned to look at him. However, he didn't seem to be afraid of the way He Jian spoke to him. Instead, he answered his question quite eagerly
"Everything is alright."
Then after pausing for a moment, he asked him
"How are you, Brother Jian?"
"Good"
He Jian answered robotically as he looked at Mo Chen calmly and thought over what Qin Ruan said yesterday.
He also thought that Mo Chen didn't behave weirdly. He looked very normal to him. However, when he remembered Mo Roulan's worry-filled eyes and distressed face, he couldn't help but ask him
"How are your studies going on?"
"Very Good."
Mo Chen again answered though very calmly but anyone who was close to him could notice the eagerness hidden in those big black eyes very well… as if expecting some kind of praise from him. However, He Jian was unable to see that eagerness.
He only remembered Mo Roulan telling Qin Ruan that Mo Chen was studying all the time so he said
"You should not study all the time."
Mo Chen's eyes widened slightly when he heard He Jian's words. He then looked at He Jian with confusion-filled eyes. That was something he had never expected his Brother Jian would say to him.
In the past …after he had come to know of his achievements in academics, he had tried his best to reach where he had been once because he wanted him to praise him.
However, after every achievement of his, he would just get a very cold nod from him. Still, he respected him a lot and had always tried to do his best because he didn't want him to regret him bringing him to his mansion and taking care of him.
Though he had always wondered why he had brought him to his mansion and he only got to know the reason when he didn't have much time left with him.
Mo Chen wondered many times after gaining his past life's memories whether he should hate He Jian after whatever he had come to know in his past life.
However, no matter how many times he tried he just couldn't do it.
Like today when he saw He Jian, he just wanted to run to him and hug him tightly like a child. And now thinking about all those things, he couldn't decide who was at fault.
Was it Brother Jian or his sister or none of them actually? Or were it just the circumstances that were wrong?
Mo Chen came out of his trance when he heard He Jian saying
"Try to talk with your sister. She is very worried about you these days."
Mo Chen's eyes suddenly flickered with realization and he started to understand the thing. He remembered his sister suddenly coming to his room and then asking him about those books.
He now knew exactly why He Jian suddenly offered to drop him at school. He was worried about his sister then why did he…
He looked at He Jian and asked him and asked him curiously.
"Brother Jian, do you know my sister is dating Brother Cheng Yang?"
