CEO He Is Trying To Behave Gentlemanly
Though she was pouting a little because of not being able to see Shen Youlin in the early morning, her mood improved a lot when she saw that today, the car was parked behind the front gate.
She couldn't help but turn to look at He Jian and say softly.
"Thanks"
She knew that it was he who must have asked the driver to do so. She always felt very conscious whenever she would get out of He Jian's car though the driver would park it a little far away.
She would be scared that someone would see her getting out of He Jian's car. Regardless of how much she and her family was dependant on He Jian in the current circumstances, Mo Roulan didn't wish to stay like this for her whole life.
Somewhere inside her heart, she would always think of some day in future where she would have no connection with He Jian and his family and it would always be whenever she would find facing He Jian very exhausting.
These emotions were very strong in the past few days.
She was learning that she would perhaps not be able to leave the grudges she hold against the people around He Jian…who humiliated her, who were the reason behind her misery. Especially she herself would feel very insecure and stupid when she would remember her choices in her past life.
It was best to stay away from him.
If only the man beside her knew what was going on inside Mo Roulan's mind, Mo Roulan would have know how wrong of a perception she had …towards her present as well as her past life.
Unfortunately, He Jian didn't have any innate power of reading Mo Roulan's mind. He was the man whose emotional quotient was so low that it took him years to realize his own feelings so how could he understand Mo Roulan's feelings so easily!
CEO He nodded his head in satisfaction seeing that Mo Roulan was happy with this decision of his and then both of them got out of the car.
However, his little bit of joy vanished soon when Mo Roulan said
"I will be using the elevator that all other employees use."
He Jian immediately stopped the 'no' that was about to come out of his mouth. He looked at Mo Roulan's firm face and determined eyes and then nodded his head reluctantly.
It was definetly difficult for him.
He had to repeat 'respect Lanlan's opinions…respect Lanlan's opinions' again and again inside his mind.
If that was what made her happy and feel secure then he should grant these small things to her. He Jian said to himself.
Mo Roulan again whispered a small 'thanks' and he could only watch as she disappeared from his sight soon.
With a sigh that expressed his annoyance, He Jian walked towards the elevator that suddenly seemed to be a big wall between him and Mo Roulan to him.
After all, there was just one wall separating his and the employees' elevator.
'Fuck these opinions and Fang Zhihan's image of righteous gentleman.'

"Hi"
Mo Roulan was startled when she heard a voice from her side. She turned to look sideways confirming whether this 'Hi' was said to her.
In the elevator that was full of people, she saw a girl of her own age looking at her with a sweet smile on her lips.
"Hello"
Mo Roulan whispered in confusion as she tried to remember whether she knew this girl or not but she was not able to recognize the girl at all.
"Do I know you?"
Mo Roulan couldn't help but ask when she saw with how much bright eyes the girl was looking at her …as if she was some sort of candy.
She cleared her throat at her own illustration.
"Yes…No"
The girl who first said 'yes' shook her head in 'no' immediately. As she shook her head, her ponytail wiped the face of the man standing behind her.
Realizing this, the girl smiled sheepishly and first turned around to apologize to the woman. After that, she turned around to look at Mo Roulan again.
"Actually, I know you but you don't know me."
"Ohhh"
Mo Roulan whispered in a daze. So there was this sort of thing also.
"Yes, But I just saw you yesterday for the first time. It was at the bus stop. I even saw Young M…""
Mo Roulan's eyes went wide when she realized what the girl was about to say. Immediately she interrupted the girl and said
"Yes, Yes. I remember. I have seen you yesterday."
The girl eyes brightened up more if it was possible and she said to Mo Roulan with dreamy eyes.
"Really?"
"Yes."
Mo Roulan nodded her head immediately. She was just afraid that the girl would say something she didn't want anyone to know in between so many people.
And sure enough, the girl opened her mouth again.
"By the way, are you close to our b…"
Just when Mo Roulan was thinking how to stop her from saying her next words, the doors of the elevator opened and she heaved a sigh of relief.
"Excuse me, I am getting late."
Saying this, she got out of the elevator immediately while the girl pouted behind her.
But her attention was diverted soon when she realized that she had already missed her floor.
Finally free from big trouble, Mo Roulan was walking towards the room that had her table when she heard a voice from her behind.
"Mo Roulan."
Mo Roulan stopped amidst her steps when she heard a familiar voice. She didn't wish to stop at all but even her legs seemed to have their own mind and stopped on their own.
Still, she forced herself to raise her foot and leave from there.
She didn't wish to start her morning like this. However, before she could leave, the person she didn't wish to talk to was already standing in front of her and said
"Where are you running away? Only those who had done something wrong try to run away, Mo Roulan? What wrong have you done?"
