Bonus Chapter: The Trip to Italy
"Mom, please send my regards to uncle Hanxi and aunt Bella!" Said Brie, She hugged her mother tight and said, "I will miss you and dad. I wish this visit was more often."
Andrea too savored the scent of her daughter's hair and embraced her fully. She said, "You'll visit us next year, right? Let's always make that happen."
Tyler and the kids also gave their warm embrace to both Lu Fang and Andrea. Angela and Matteo also received their fair share of emotional goodbye as they set off to Italy.
Lu Fang used Lu-Wei Enterprises' private plane for the trip, allowing them to conveniently travel in between countries at their preferred time. Andrea set off for another journey, looking forward to another reunion with her brother.
Upon their arrival, they were met by Hanxi and two private cars to take them to one of the Ricci's hotel where a penthouse was available for them to use, accommodating both Andrea and Lu Fang, plus Angela's family.
In the evening, the couple met Hanxi's other sons, Luca and Dante. Both Hanxi's sons were also married, and they both brought their wives with them. So far, Hanxi had one grandson from Luca and two grandsons from Dante.
"Damn, Hanxi," said Lu Fang after meeting his twins again after several years. "Are you making a village of boys? When are you going to get any girls in your family?!"
"I honestly want girls too, Lu Fang, but what can I do? We just were not blessed with any!" Exclaimed Isabella. She came with the boys and their wives.
"I wish Angela would give me a girl," added Isabella while eyeing her daughter-in-law.
Hearing this, Angela nearly choked while drinking wine. She countered, "No! No, mom. I am done getting fat and tearing my - you know. Me and Matt, we are just going to adopt a baby girl."
"Well, there is still hope. Dante and Luca may still give me a granddaughter," Hanxi said while observing the reactions of his sons.
They were all gathered in a long table at the garden restaurant of the hotel, having a special dinner.
Hanxi remained to manged his share of the Bank of Trust Italy. After Alfred Davies' passing, he transferred his shares to Angela, which was now also managed by Hanxi.
At the same time, Hanxi started a security agency of his own while helping Isabella with the hotel business.
The group feasted in the gathering, chitchatting on what went on with their lives, especially now their families are growing.
Andrea naturally had her one-on-one talk with her brother towards the end of the dinner. They separated from their table, talking from the balcony area of the hotel where there were more lights. They were exchanging photos of their grandchildren, giving compliments.
"Wow, Brie's kids are very pretty and handsome," remarked Hanxi. "Then Alexis' kids are as white as snow! Is there no sun in Korea?"
"Pfft! Oh, it's because Hyun, their father keeps them that way, fair-skinned and away from exploration," said Andrea. "Quite the opposite of how adventurous Chevre's children are!"
Her eyes squinted before adding, "Adventurous and troublesome! But! But! With the least amount of inhibitions, absolutely confident kids."
Hanxi smirked and raised a glass at her. They were both carrying their glasses of wine. He said, "To each his own. The way they raised their kids, I mean."
"Alexis' kids are probably how you raised your kids and Chevre's kids are how I raised mine," added Hanxi, giving a big grin on his face.
"Hey! To each his own," Andrea reminded. While they were strict with their kids, they grew up to be honest and responsible parents.
"Hanxi, I'm happy you made it through. Living here in Italy. I remember how tough it was for you. At some point, I wanted you to come running back to me, bringing your family back to Beijing," Andrea revealed before laughing altogether.
After Hanxi's marriage with Isabelle, other wealthy families still questioned his worthiness. If it were not for the fact that he was named as Alfred's grandson, he may have asked for Andrea's help.
Hanxi scoffed and said, "Very funny. I would not leave Bella behind. But yes, I knew if I decided to run back to you, I knew - I knew I also had a home with you."
He sighed heavily before saying more, "Thank you, Andy. I know I have said this a thousand times, but you were my angel and until now, I look up to you - the way you raised your family, how you are handling f**cking, nineteen grandchildren! You practically won the lottery of many more mouths to feed - Ahhh!"
Andrea punched him in the arm and said, "Well, it would seem like the men in our family are bound to give birth to twins! It can't be helped. This is exactly why the children are working hard to enrich the business."
"I can't deny that. I heard Lu-Wei Enterprise's ins competing with the Royal Dragon Company, vying for number one," remarked. Hanxi.
Over the years, Lu-Wei Enterprises has nearly caught up to Xia Ting's company, reaching a net worth of Forty Billion Dollars. this did not include their investments in the Davies Group of Companies, that of Intramed Wise, and Andres Islands. Whereas, the Royal Dragon has reached Fifty Billion Dollars of net worth, as a corporation alone.
Of course, both companies have their own investments in each other, including that of Anton Yeong's company, JKW Investments.
"The children also have investments of their own. Alfred and Sam have reality together with Matt and they have their own forensic lab. Alexis and Hyun have their own recording company now. Xuilan has her cafe, which is really doing well. Tyler also has his own." Andrea nodded while analyzing their financial status.
She looked up to Hanxi and said, "I think we are set. The grandchildren can multiple by three and should still be fine."
"Can you adopt me?" Hanxi said while giggling.
"Hanxi, please. You are always part of our family," said Andrea. "Even if you hadn't asked... You are my brother and my children look up to you always as their uncle."
Hanxi put an arm around Andrea and said, "I'm glad I found a sister when I was lost."
From behind them, Lu Fang walked in between, separating the two. He cleared his throat and said, "Bro, hug your own wife."
Hanxi and Andrea went out, laughing hysterically.
"Oh, babe. You are just too adorable. That's why I love you," Andrea said while hugging her husband.
