Andrea: Then and Now

0Andrea was not about to let her husband off for the vows that he gave. She was tremendously touched. She felt the luckiest girl in the world to have met him and be his wife.

He may be perverted but then again, she had recognized, so was she.

It was Andrea's turn to give her vows. Lu Fang excused her from giving any because she was not aware of today's celebration. However, after hearing her husband's promises to their marriage, it was imperative that she announced to everyone that she loved him the same.

"No, it's fine," she reluctantly said. Turning the crowd, she spoke, "I did not prepare for my vows but what I will say sincerely comes from my heart."

Pursing her lips, Andrea gazed at her husband. His eyes were filled with longing. She could tell he was looking forward to what she was about to say.

"Lu Fang, I don't remember much about the time we met - when I was about ten years old, but my dad told me how it went. What I have determined so far is that you broke my heart when I was a little girl. You broke your promise of coming back for me. Apparently, my little self waited for you for more than a year."

Awws could be heard from their guests. For most of them, this was a surprise, even to Xia Ting.

While seated on their designated area, Li Wen had to explain to him that the couple met shortly after Andrea was adopted by the Davies family. Yeong, on the other hand, had heard of this tale, but it was the first time he learned that his little sister had already experienced a silly heartbreak at such a young age.

"Call it destiny that we met again." Turning to Li Wen, she added, "I had my sister to thank for that."

"I came to China to heal my broken self. To forget my mishaps. I was just hoping to occupy myself before deciding on when to move on... but I guess, there is never a time or place for true love. It happens without warning, in a heartbeat, in a flash and when it comes, there is no stopping it."

"I felt like everything in my life has led me to you, Lu Fang. My choices, my regrets, and heartbreak. If it were not for my past, I may not have found you. I may not have the reason to work as your bodyguard. Thus, regardless of all my hardships, it was all worth it. If I had the power to change it, I would not dare to do so as I may not meet you at all."

It was just a few minutes ago that Andrea had dried her tears to prepare for her speech, but now, water was flowing down her cheeks, madly.

"Thank you - Thank you for not giving up on me. Thank you - for letting me into your life without boundaries. Thank - Thank you for accepting everything that I am - coping up with my complications. Thank you for being patient with me and putting me first above the rest."

"Thank you for making me feel constantly loved and wanted… Only you, Lu Fang, my husband, could give me that strange feeling."

As his wife continued to talk, Lu Fang wondered where this was all coming from. Andrea was speaking as if she fully remembered her past. While he was loving her meaningful words, it was confusing altogether.

Little by little, however, the man realized that Andrea was talking about specifics on how they became a couple. Something that only the old Andrea could have known.

"You won me over not just by your gorgeous looks but by your humorous pick-up lines. The way you showed care and the way you held me, sent me to heavens in an unknown universe... You simply swept me off my feet."

The man's heart was racing, his thoughts were getting ahead of him that he had to ask, "Andy? Babe, you remember?"

There was no response to his query. His wife remained focused on her vows.

"I, Andrea Li, now Andrea Lu, promise to never leave your side and swear to tell you all my difficulties. This time, I will share my burdens with you. I promise to love you with all my heart and my soul. We are meant to conquer the world together, not live as individuals but only together."

"Even if I had forgotten, I found myself falling in love with you… Though, slowly, I recalled how we first met… and the times we became a couple… I loved you then and I love you now… even if I had completely lost all my memories, I swear to find you and love you. I - "

Lu Fang cut her off and hugged her tightly while asking, "Babe, you remember? Why didn't you tell me? What exactly do you remember?"

The crowd was curious as to what was happening. Only those in the front could decipher the revelations. Li Wen and Yanmei were so moved that they were also in tears.

Andrea had put down the microphone to accept her husband's embrace. She reciprocated Lu Fang's hold before answering, "Not all. I don't remember everything yet but yes, I remember pieces of it up until we attended Brother Ting's birthday."

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked.

Still resting on her husband's chest, Andrea replied, "It did not matter, babe. It did not matter what I remember. I was willing to give you all of me and love you."

"I love you, Andy."

"I love you, too."

The two of them were weeping in front of their families and friends. Lu Fang was especially emotional. All the holding back was useless. He also shed tears after learning his wife started to recall the past.

Needless to say, Andrea's vows ended there. They were both gasping for air, unable to talk.

The ceremony resumed and when it was time to have their kiss; they did not wait to be told. They both kissed passionately, completely absorbed with each other that Christina had to come to the front and remind them to break it off.

The three of them laughed and soon after, the guests gradually joined the couple and gave their congratulations.

There was no doubt about it. For those who witnessed Lu Fang and Andrea's wedding, it was the most thought of, the most touching and the most sentimental. There was no more room for uncertainties and all those who thought the man was never sincere towards his wife, merely ate their own words.

Lu Fang and Andrea, they both loved each other unconditionally.
