'How can everything be too perfect here?'
'Even the books are arranged in alphabetical order…'
'Did she do it herself?'
'Did she order her servants to do it?'
'But they are an elderly couple in the '60s… How can they do so much in a single day?'
'Cleaning a library is the most difficult place to clean. How can this place be without a single speck of dust?'
'Not only this library but the entire house is neat and clean. And there are only two servants..'
'So who does the cleaning job here?'
'I have to.....'
"Now you understand why I was so reluctant to let you enter here. The study is part of my bedroom and I know a person of your stature would never like to enter a girl's bedroom without a solid reason, Right?", Xiu Mei tries to act smart.
Feng Jianyu was still engrossed in his thoughts that he did not realize that she was talking to him. Getting no response she looked towards his face and saw him busy with his own thoughts.
Xiu Mei "..."
'Is my study so good that the mighty CEO of Feng Corporations, Feng Jianyu had turned deaf and dumb? I am sure this study must be nothing if compared to the one in his house.'
"CEO Feng?", she called him again.
"Huh? Yes?", Feng Jianyu woke up from his stupor and turned towards her. "You are saying something?"
"Yes Yes… I was saying since this study is part of my bedroom I know you will feel uncomfortable coming here. So it's perfectly fine if you don't want to. Just select as many books you want to read and I will send them to your bedroom,"
Feng Jianyu "...."
'This girl is very smart…'
'She wants me out of here, but acting as if she doesn't care?'
'Women you can't over smart me…'
Feng Jianyu gave her a businesslike smile and said, "It's fine I am not uncomfortable. Thank you so much for being so considerate about me. You don't have to take the hassle of carrying so many heavy books to my room. I will cooperate with you and will read them here only."
Then he takes out a book on Investment strategies and lounged on the nearby sofa comfortably.
Raising his head towards her he said, "And I know this study is part of your bedroom but isn't your bedroom situated in the separate section of the lobby? So technically I am not entering a girl's bedroom, right?", He smartly dodged her trick and started reading the book.
Xiu Mei "..."
'You monster headache!'
'Who's considerate about you?'
'Can't you see you are intruding on my privacy?'
'Don't you have any manners?'
'Oh, God! How will I enter my lab?'
'CEO Feng Jianyu you are a vicious serpent who is sitting coiled in my house'
If by thinking you can kill someone, then right now Feng Jianyu might be strangled to death.
"Fine suit yourself, use it at your own accord. I will just go and get my laptop", with this she left the study for the back garden to get her laptop. She has no intention to leave him alone in her study.
After she left the study Feng Jianyu looked up from the book with a complicated gaze. He stared at her departing figure and understood that she's uncomfortable and don't want him to leave alone here.
He got up and looked around the study. He swiped his finger on the table, top bookshelf corner, upper frame of the painting, and as expected not even a single trace of dust.
Xiu Mei came back with her laptop and sit down inside a hanging weaver nest bed in half-lying position and put the laptop on her lap. That bed was small so her ankles were peeking out and she was constantly swinging them.
Feng Jianyu saw this and chuckled inwardly.
Soon Xiu Mei was so engrossed in her work that she even forgot about the presence of Feng Jianyu around her. To take a tea break she came out of her bird's nest and stretched her body soundly.
She suddenly realized something and turned to look towards him, and as expected he was looking towards her with raised brows. With a jerk, she squeezed her body back and gave a sheepish smile.
"I am brewing licorice tea for myself, would you like to have a cup too?", she goes towards the table to make a cup of tea.
"Ya sure… Thank you"
She gave him a cup of tea along with some snacks and went back to her bird's nest to enjoy her cup of tea. They both stayed in the study till evening and later went together to eat dinner.
This has become their daily routine; they would eat three meals a day together along with evening tea, but only talk to each other when necessary.
Three days passed like this and it's a weekend today. At the weekend Xiu Mei never works and takes care of other necessary things related to the house. Today she has to go to the supermarket to buy weekly groceries and other necessary items.
Although Butler Tom can also go to the supermarket, Xiu Mei is never comfortable sending him alone there. He is a 65- year- old man and for her, he is her helper, not a servant.
